Closest would be Somo (Mont' Kiara), Luna Bar (Pacific Regency Hotel) or Sky Bar (Traders Hotel).

I will list my top list bar but I dunno about the price of alcoholic drink because I'm there just to relax on the sky. - Sky Bar (Lvl 34 Traders Hotel) - Luna Bar (Like I mention above) |

Please recommend some places that's open till 2-3 am where there are lounges or nice sofas where I can hang out with a group of friends or hold a small bday celebration. If lower class place then need music la, if high class then no need. Alcoholic drinks is a must. Whether it's part of a dance club or not I don't care la.

I remember seeing one place online, in some blog maybe, where you can see the bridge of the Petronas towers outside the window. The place seemed really high like same level with the bridge and very near the bridge also....
Anyone know where this is? |

My purpose in creating this post opinions and a directory on nice places to where one is able to Drink and Socialize in KL.
Please do not post any dumb Clubbing venues here, seriously. In clubs you pay expensive (and diluted) drinks with loud deafening music. That is not call socializing. Ok. Let me start of by a one good and bad example of bars/pubs i visited recently. Not so good Bar Library (in the Curve) - Pricey drinks (~RM25 per class of cocktail) and poor/mediocre quality drinks, bartender doesn't even know what is a "Manhattan". The draft beer there seemed very watered down. DJ plays Mambo No.5 and HEY MICKEY UR SO FINE frequently. I would not visit there ever again. (But the bar is always packed, as always ignorant local consumers as usual) Good Bar Reggae Bar (NOT THE CHANGKAT ONE, I'm refering to Petaling St, KL) - Initial reaction would be "eww, dodgy area", but I tell you it is worth the experience. Extremely cheap drinks - RM10~RM15 per glass of cocktail. VERY good quality and taste, probably just as good as a 5 star hotel standard (I tried their Long Island Tea). Ambiance seemed alright as I choose to drink in their "dining" area instead of the noisy pub/dance area. The crowd consist of alot of backpackers/expats around that place. On a final note, just beware of where you park your car, lots of police roaming around for a quick buck despite it being in the midnight. And don't trust the idiot that says he will look after ur car when you pay him a few bucks. I just want to share my experience, as I tried to googling of places to drink only to find that Malaysia have a seriously terrible directory of good places to drink information. The forums isn't helping either, most places recommended are rubbish. It is no wonder tourist are having a hard time appreciating our country, YOU JUST CAN'T FIND STUFF! Haha, This post has been edited by xingixn: Feb 1 2010, 01:19 AM |

Bar Italia in Changkat, Bukit Bintang. The price is quite expensive but the place is very nice. Good music ( slow jazz, fusion jazz, ambient ), excellent interior, fast service. Recommended!

Hi all,
I planned to go down to Bar to have a drink with my girl tomorrow. Need suggestions from pros from LYN! Preferable around Mount Kiara, KL area. I need a comparative quiet place.. Went to Skybar before. Not really satisfy with their service though. Since I am not a frequent Bar-goer.. So any suggestion on cocktails for ladies with not so strong alcohol taste in the drink? I've heard a lot bout the beer challenge in Ecobar and purposely dropped by for a drink, just to watch the crowd. Man, it was so packed, for a Monday night... The beer challenge reward is RM1,800 + bottle of liquor.
I managed to convince my boss and a colleague to join today's challenge but I have a question. For anyone who has been there or who has friends who won the challenge before, can I know is the RM1,800 to be rewarded to each winner or it's suppose to be shared among all winners? Hey forumers,
I would like to find out any pubs/bars/bistros around Ampang Jaya, Wangsa Maju, Taman Melawati or any others around my place, Wangsa Maju, I prefer not the city centre. This is because I'm planning to organize a 21st birthday bash, so I need a nice, cozy place where close family and friends can gather and enjoy themselves. Hopefully u guys can share your experience with some pubs/bars/bistro you've been before and recommend some. Thank you in advance. Have a nice day, Cheers. |

Not really an alcohol person but drop by OverTime last week with bunch of friends to celebrated birthday found the place was quite not bad with their STARKER beer.
Planning for another session but to a different location. Wanted to know any recommendation of hot spot for beer around PETALING JAYA (PJ) or DAMANSARA with similar ambiance and serving special beers like in OverTime.. This post has been edited by Food2Buzz: Jun 20 2011, 12:08 PM |

hey everyone!
There is this new site in town, they are offering booze deals, and they actually mostly cover cozy chilled out dining places/bars serving alcohol! Their last deal was with Brotzeid Mid Valley, selling only RM10 for a paulaner, which i went and it was a great place (i heard that they will have another deal with them in the future) and Grid Iron where they were selling cocktails. Their current deal is a A pint of Tiger, Heineken, Guinness or Kilkenny at S'Mores, for just RM10! Its a crazy deal, and at a chilled out place too in Bangsar! Check their website out, www.socialdeals.my Their on going booze deal! ![]() |

Hi Guys,
It's so hard for me to find a club or pub or whatever that serve with type of typical music as below: 1) Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (soft) 2) Muse - Time Is Running Out (soft) 3) 3 Doors Down - Here Without You (soft) 4) Metallica - Nothing Else Matters (soft) ......) or what ever any sub-genre of soft or hard Rock/Metal stream. Instead on something like this below http://www.edmdroid.com/music/10-best-club-tunes-of-2016/ Im craving for music ambient. please help This post has been edited by MikeChoo: Apr 8 2017, 07:07 PM |
