QUOTE(de_lasoul @ Feb 21 2010, 03:12 PM) Sorry, off topic here, but I need to look for a HDMI cable which is minimum 5 feet and above. Anyone knows who sells them or where can I get it? It doesn't have to be branded cable.... thanks in advance Look for DigitalTech (LYN nick) he has cables that you require..

Yesterday I finally managed to see "burn in" in a LCD. This was in a hotel room in KL. The set was a Toshiba Regza. I believe it is permanent and cannot be cleared. I ran the display 24hrs and it did not reduce even a tiny bit.
I suppose in this case, they probably left it on for extended periods of time in that particular frozen image...
This was the 1st time I saw it with my own eyes. So now I believe it can happen to an LCD also.

They are both similar but I prefer the processing of the Bravia to the Sharps This post has been edited by anfieldude: Mar 11 2010, 05:45 PM

Its just abuse. Leave a static image long enuf in a fixel pixel display and it can happen. It is nothing against Toshiba.

Not only plasma suffers burn in. LCD has this problem too. Only the percentage of kena this jackpot is so muich smaller compared to plasma. If you searched many many pages back, I remembered someone in here posted pictures of his Samsung LCD suffering the same faith too. I can see two black lines at the side of iP Man.
