Someone already said official will be 2599. Really can't be helped. Tax are insane here. That's why APs are cheaper.

RM1950 eh? Seems like Milestone AP prices are getting more and more delicious. It is sure going to be tempting for those planning for 2k phones biggrin.gif

Details on Android 2.1 on Droid
QUOTE
We've just gotten the inside line on the next Droid update that's making the rounds through Verizon's testing department from one of our trusted sources, and overall, it looks like this should take users 95 percent of the way to curing pangs of Nexus One envy. Here's what we've got:

    * It's based on Android 2.1. The build currently being circulated is identified as 2.1 version 1, mirroring the update just pushed to the Nexus One last week.
    * Google Goggles is now pre-installed (no matter how unhelpful it may be).
    * The browser's now multitouch enabled, just like Google Maps 3.4. Huzzah! No Flash, but then again, we weren't really expecting that.
    * Interestingly, the home screen's still got the same look as 2.0.1, meaning it doesn't adopt the Nexus One's rotating 3D grid of app icons -- it's still got the pull-up drawer tab at the bottom.
    * No active wallpapers. Bummer!
    * The news and weather widgets introduced on the Nexus One are included. Maybe certain capabilities of 2.1 are going to be restricted to devices with minimum performance benchmarks?

There's no word on timing, and for all our source knows, this build could still very well fail testing -- goodness knows it's happened with plenty of pre-production firmwares in Verizon's past. We'll keep our ear to the ground and you do the same.

I think I read Moto is about to release somewhere around 20 Android sets this year, so 15 of them will be in Malaysia eh? Quite nice assuming some of the model are just name changes (DEXT-CLIQ / DROID-MILESTONE)

There is a few if you look around. Backflip is one, there's also Devour, Zeppelin, some sets for China (XT800), MOTOROI, a couple somewhat unconfirmed; Shadow and Ruth.

By the way, as I read back, its actually between 20 to 30. But of course, do keep in mind some of the sets have different name for different regions.

Someone says RM1.9k, but why it stated RM2k?

Their website is not updated that often and the prices changes quite a lot. Call them for the current prices

A lot of people have bought from them. They also have an office (though no storefront) so I guess they're quite legit.

All phones are the same (the innards). What differs between regions are the apps that comes with it. Market and such. I'm not sure which region comes with what or lacks what though.

HK sets does comes with marketplace, buy you can only see free apps right? Or is it just because there's just too little paid apps to notice?

That's pretty much the norm in the realm of smartphones right? Lasting for only about a day or so.

judging from the price differences between ap and ori set for other phone models, i guess ori set would be 300-400 more?

Is the market the cause of the huge delay?
