your XPS 1647 RAM score is 5.9 ? Cannot be 5.9 ...... [ 5.9 should be the hard disk ]
Why not post the picture here later after you format the company. This post has been edited by kukujiaotm: Jan 24 2010, 03:56 PM |

QUOTE(b-evolution @ Jan 24 2010, 03:54 PM) hi all dell xps 16 user.. need u all profession thoughts The Core i5 is a dual-core and has 4 threads(Intel says will act as 4 cores if needed) it has 32nm process so it would be coller than the 45nm processors.. But for your tasks.. maybe the Core i7 Quad would be a better choice disregarding its low clock..i5 or i7 same graphic card same ram multi task, 3d polygon siftware and other design software.. whic hone more stable , not overheat ,smooth, render smooth smile.gif |

QUOTE(b-evolution @ Jan 24 2010, 03:54 PM) hi all dell xps 16 user.. need u all profession thoughts Well, if you wanna go for multi task, 3d polygon siftware and other design software.. i7 would be a better choice, but the heat is quite high so you may need a laptop cooler for it. Some of us in lowyat forum using i7 XPS without complain or issue....i5 or i7 same graphic card same ram multi task, 3d polygon siftware and other design software.. whic hone more stable , not overheat ,smooth, render smooth smile.gif i5 runs cooler at idle, but just slightly hotter at full loading (85% - 100%) at about 65'c to 68'c Maximum..... Well, in term of more stable , not overheat ,smooth, render smooth, i guess Core i5 can suits your needs :-) This post has been edited by kukujiaotm: Jan 24 2010, 05:56 PM |

i'm so scare about HT, softwares and games will develop support HT in future? if not then the HT totally no use?
let's say about i7, if no HT softwares or games... will it only run at 1.6GHz? |

Like lee said, it depends on the cores itself (turbo boost)...HT got nothing to do with it let's say about i7, if no HT softwares or games... will it only run at 1.6GHz? |

Arrandale processors(Core i5 and Core i7 Latest) are Dual-Cores(2 Cores), 4 threads(Hyper Threading Technology) ..
The 4 threads will act as quad-cores using Hyper Threading Technology. Theres no "Dual HT Core" term if im not mistaken. This post has been edited by Eugene91: Jan 24 2010, 07:29 PM |
