I think most likely it's an optional upgrade since the Dell had just put in HD4670 into the SXPS 16

Fine by me smile.gif I'm not getting my baby anytime soon though. It sure would be good if Dell upgrades some of the components by July...

Just a quick question guys.

I am planning to get a SXPS16. According to Dell's website, it has a starting weight of 2.8kg, and if I choose to get the 9cell battery it will be approximately 3kg.

I plan to carry to work everyday. Is 3kg too heavy for a portable laptop? Any users here having problem with the weight of XPS?

Sorry but my personal budget is only RM4K and below. My dad is already angry because he does not want me to spend so much on a laptop. He thinks that 3k below is sufficient sad.gif

Btw, might consider upgrading to the HD5730 if it offers significant boost in fps brows.gif

if i want to build muscle i'll go to gym, not by carrying excessive weight with me everyday to work tongue.gif

my previous laptop weighs just 2.5kg, and i'm actually doing okay carrying it to work daily. i'm just afraid 3kg will be abit of inconvenience since it's not so portable, but i do love the specs of SXPS16. guess i have to compromise since i can't get the best of both world, biggrin.gif

any other users have an issue with it's weight?

I plan to get a crumpler messenger bag. that's what i'm worried of now, 3kg with a messenger bag isn't a great combo isn't it?
