but seems this not a big issue if change to 130 watt PSU can solve it, i believe Dell will solve it soon or later.

Yes, it is the Core i7 , as it required more power.

Core 2 Duo required lesser power, so 90W power Adapter is more than enough!

CODE
"Error Loading Operating System"

I tried to reboot multiple times but it still would not go to the login screen.

Then I tried using F2 and boot from DVD drive using the Vista CD that came with the package... but still failed to boot.

What should I do?

Bring it to a PC store? Call Dell? Do they work on weekends? Does the fix involve RMA? Reformat? cry.gif

Before this happened..

I set a boot-time chkdsk for a partition (F) around last night, but the comp crashed this morning with a BSOD while I was surfing, and upon restart the chkdsk initiated, which was taking a long time so I went and did something else.

Then a couple of hours later I came back and saw a blank screen so I pressed the 'ON' button, then booting was especially slow (showing the hardware listing on every boot up a bit slower than normal), then the above error kept happening..

I just bought this notebook back in September

Nah, the stripping was gradual, not sudden. The exposed part became longer and longer over a month. I think it might have been caused by me rolling the wires around the adapter when keeping... thought the previous adapters didn't have such problem by handling the same way...

what i dont like about the adapter is very loose... i mean when plug into my laptop, it's not really tightso sometime when my sister walk and accidentally step on the wire will unplug the adapter and cause my laptop to suddenly power off...

I think it's intentionally done that way so that if there is any accidental traction, it won't cause the whole laptop to fly off.
