14incher will fit to all backpacks. The problem starts with 15incher and above, u'll have a hard time buying a good padded pack for a good price.

working fine. cant see any difference though.

ah cooll.. gonna try out 9.11 modded now.. and test for performance i suppose. still not switching to the asus VGA driver which is switchable.. hahaa..

or u can buy a 2nd hand set.. which is around 100 plus.. i got mine for rm120.. which serves me very well.. heee

tried Catalyst 9.11 modded...

minimal changes in 3D Mark 06...

The driver from ASUS website is switchable & support Power Express mode.

not possible on K40Ab/K50Ab...

u need GPU of the same spec to run...

HD3200 can Hybrid CF with HD3400 and HD2400 only... since they all ve 40SP...

HD4570 has 80SP... even if it's possible, HD4570 would be restricted to 40SP only, and 40SP+40SP is definitely worse than 80SP...

hmm.. a question here.. the driver for the switching thingy has northbridge driver included.. meaning the driver for the switching i assume..

so if we were to update our Graphic driver..(thru device manager). the northbridge will still be there right? so we still can install the driver?

Northbridge means the M780G chipset in K40Ab/K50Ab...

y dun install it??? that's the chipset driver...

now AMD likes to package the chipset driver together with the integrated graphic driver... unlike Intel who separates into 2 driver packages...

tried to update using device manager.. it says the driver is already up to date..

I wonder why you guys so anal about driver version? Unless it gives some boost in performance in games dont bother about it, its not like 8.631 is 10fps slower than 8.661

its under a lay mans' view that the version matters.. hahaa..

IMO.. 8.661 still has some performance diff.. thou not that noticeable in overall..

it's more like, integrated graphic driver includes the chipset driver as well...

juz run the installer and u'll update the driver for both...

the one that allows switching is Catalyst, aka the display driver...

chipset driver is another thing...

i still remember last time when using 8600M GS, Forceware 174 series gave a very significant jump in performance compared to the older ones, allowing me to play Cabal smoothly (less clan war) at high settings instead of mid setting...

but heck, can't expect so much from ATi's driver team though...

hmm.. if thats teh case.. how could it possile that switching couldnt be done last time.. before the asus driver was out eh.. theres gotta be some explanation..

honestly speaking, hybrid graphic is still not a very mature product...

even MS refuses to provide any official support for hybrid graphic... the current drivers from ATi and Nvidia are basically a workaround on Vista and Win7's driver restriction to provide support for hybrid graphic...

heard that k40ab will stop selling also after the remaining stock selling off..anyone heard abt it?? they told me asus will only sell the model start with rm2699 above and other high end spec only.....

someday k40ab will be discontinued also.. technology world.. its common.. shud be replaced with those better ones..

could be the new amd chipset with 4670 maybe?
