the dell studio 15 oso same with k50ab will very hot when playing games?
*
its been answered already... like astria said.. every laptop on gaming will be hot.. its just that if u can feel the heat..

as for asus.. u wont feel any heat on the palm rest area.. basically.. u cant feel it at all.. the heat is only dissipated at the back of the laptop..

as for studio 15.. the heat can be felt on the palm rest area after prolong usage..

i am playing COD4:MW at a healthy 30-40fps(on LAN/multiplayer)... (20-35fps on single player due to huge worldmaps and models and doodads) Captured by FRAPS.

i heard people said although there arent muchhhh comparison in term of visual graphics in between of COD4:MW and COD:MW2, MW2 requires higher spec requirements to play... i hope its not true =(

but without OC-ing, I COULD never run NFS:Shift..sucks really bad with the FPS (as claimed as one of k40ab user here, he can run Shift at med-high setting and still have 25fps average, although i never OC anything yet, not coz im scared, coz i cant hahaha)

am waiting to get a hand-on COD4:MW2 when I get the chance wink.gif
*
Im having COD 4:MW2 on my k50ab..

very satisfying.. with all low settings.. on 1024x768 if im not wrong.. i can get average of 40 fps... 50+ at not demanding area.. while 30+ at places with demanding graphics.. smoooth game play with no problem at all rclxms.gif

1) we never say K50Ab would be "very hot"
2) Studio 15 is hot in it's own way
3) i would notworthy.gif if u can find a laptop that's cool when playing games...
4) dun want heat??? go get a laptop with integrated graphic, dun expect to play games though...

Going to try it soon, some said that the built in engine of COD MW2 is more efficient than COD4 thus creating better graphics for less gpu fire power.

And for the NFS Shift guys, please do some tweaking as the game cant select the optimum graphics automatically for different hardware spec.
I'm still finding the right settings for balanced fps & graphics.

n batusai, pls find more solutions on shift, i cant wait to be able to play this game, as a racing game fan, 15-20fps is totally unplayable.

the best solution for urself is to lower the setting possible, and off course OC the vga. kinda easy, don think u need ppl to do the job for u. Batusai ain't a god, we are only here to share and compare our findings. u need to try it out the hardway
