ur using the latest everest?
check under motherboard->motherboard. it will show effective clock. if its 800 then it should be a bug.

hmm.. my fren with k40ab... downloaded the 213 bios.. flashed.. but weird.. it doesnt detect 4570 graphics.. on dGPU mode...

on powerxpress, 4570 is detected but when installing modded driver.. it doesnt work.. very weird eh.. anyone encounter this problem??

specially for those who jsut purchase and flash their k40ab????? my k50ab doesnt have problem..

it seems only k40ab is the problem..

o...maybe i see wrong place...
but why the effective clock of my everest shows only 647, not 667?

Added on November 7, 2009, 8:10 ammay i knows why sometimes when i shutdown my computer,just a second before the computer completely close, it make some noice (e.g jiza jiza) like it is going to burn out...
but when i start it again no problem at all...
it is likely comeout from the built in speaker of the notebook...
anyone encounter this problem before on k40ab?

what diffrerent between CCC 9.7 and 9.10 version?

I just install Win7, and just wondering which one CCC is better,and also want to knw it's better go for bios update between 213 and 216?

4570 faulty? before flash is it ok?

with some readings.. i believe 213 is stable at the moment..

Download from ATi/AMD site, obviously and mod it using Mobility Modder from first page

If it can play crysis, of course it can play lesser games with ease. The first page got the info on what games it can play, and other user reviews as well. Please stop asking one line stupid question like these

hmm.. 213 is the problem.. even in powerxpress mode my fren's lappy cant detect 4570.. oni 3200..

now he reverted back to 203.. dGPU mode.. its fine.. 4570 detected.. aikz..

Weird, with 213 only detect HD4570, even in PowerXpress it cant switch to HD3200 but only stays using HD4570. End up using dGPU again

any k40ab users using 213 bios??? having any problems with the graphics??

Added on November 7, 2009, 1:40 pmhmm.. same case applies to my fren's k40ab previously.. he is on the old bios with the stock driver on dGPU mode.. then he updated the bios but on powerxpress mode.. only detect 4570...

and now i help him to update 9.10... but hardware not detected anymore.. its darn weird... i feel k40ab 213 bios is giving problems... so now he reverted back to 203 bios.. on dGPU mode again.. but with 9.10

mean mine tried 216 n 213 not because asus disabled the 3200?
not try the 203 though..

but how come some of us said got option in bios and i'm don't..

erm.. i guess urs is the new set.. with ql65 right?? maybe asus disabled the onboard graphics?? im not sure..

my fren's is still on ql64 version.. he can select VGA type in the bios..

well.. if urs is on 4570 all the time.. then it should be fine..

HOW TO FLASH BIOS

1- go to here to download bios
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/nb/K50AB/

2- unzip and place inside hdd or thumbdrive
3- boot press F2
4- go to Advanced tab



5- select Start Easy Flash
6- you may load the bios from the location you copy earlier
7- follow the easy flash instructions
8- done

yeap.. i'd prefer that... except ASUS really got the solution for the switching.. hahaa..

then should i update my bios from 203 to 213?
i am using k40ab ql64.

in my case, every bioses (203/213/216) gave me no prob on 3200/4570 option.windows didnt had problem detecting both of them/. currently, im on 213.

the deafult bios is 203.. which in dGPU mode u cant configure brightness..

try flashing bios 213.. download from the asus support website and extract the file then flash it..
