QUOTE(zs3889 @ Nov 22 2009, 08:03 PM) I see, but I found online, there are different K40 and K50, some of them are with Intel core 2 duo processor instead of AMD. those are IN and IJ models.. they have the same design. but diff specs.. we are the ABsAdded on November 22, 2009, 8:18 pm QUOTE(Muhammad Syukri @ Nov 22 2009, 03:12 PM) No i dont have any warranty card,so how i do register for the warranty online, lol i blur2 about it because the chinese worker at The Hub said if anyting goes wrong just send it to the shop back with receipt. the warrant.. mostly the important stuffs are the serial number and date purchse.. the serial is under ur lappy.. date just place around the day of purchase.. reseller name. anything would do i guess..is it this one vip.asus.com to register the warranty?? Okey im registering the product but at the blank ino about reseller name, should i put the shop names or the worker@person of the shop instead?? still under 2k range.. normal price should be rm1999.. which now can be found at rm 1899 or lower..
ab have diff specs with IN and IJ model.. because ab is a hotter model on lyn.. so thread was created and yes.. ab is cheaper than IN.. due to its AMD proc and freedos.. which doesnt come with windows.. IN does.. and ab model has better graphics than IN and IJ model.. go for it if ur looking for a decent gaming lappy around this price range.. ouchies.. wonder if theres anyone who wants to trade this lappy with a benq s42.. hahaa..
Added on November 23, 2009, 3:38 pm QUOTE(zs3889 @ Nov 23 2009, 03:35 PM) Lol is there really big difference between athlon and turion?? erm.. basically.. not much of a big difference.. Hmm which place are you going by the way? most likely is the power consumption.. and leads to lower temperature.. Turion is the new models of athlons.. so they are better.. and well. turions supports 800Mhz ram.. athlon limited to 667Mhz.. but the difference wont be big.. but u have more CPU speed on this one.. which will be good.. faster processing than us.. ah... envy.. im going to yellowstone under a work and travel programme. re5.. its a game i think can be performed at high settings with this lappy.. just play around urself... i dont think its any hard.. low medium high..
just set it urself and play to ur likings.. some rather like performance and gameplay rather than graphic.. so theres no certain settings.. |

QUOTE(Najmods @ Nov 27 2009, 10:47 PM) Newsflash! I bought a few resistor at Jalan Pasar today after Friday prayer to lower the fan voltage, lower voltage = lower speed if you dont know. i get the calculation parts.. but thats some very crazy mod..I found 10 ohm is enough to make it quiet, but its still a bit slower than I wanted so I parallel 10 ohm with 20 ohm resistor to get 6.67 ohm and now the voltage is 3.89V instead of 5.09V (the onboard fan connector is somewhere at 1.XXV region if I remember correctly). Even with single 10 ohm is a lot faster than onboard fan voltage Picture of the paralled resistor on the lappy, a bit messy since I dont cut the extra legs, but its ok as long as its not shorted somehwere, I use cello tape ![]() |
