Your conscience should be clear, he knew it was a free roll system before he joined the PUG. He has no rights to complain when lady luck pwned him.

Nowadays though, PUGs tend to adopt different roll systems, such a prior loot winner having less chance for later loot, etc.

But most pugs in my server run by "1 main spec, 1 tier piece loot per raid" rule, so that everyone gets a chance to win something.

nah - even DKP or wutever count system are still bound for serious guild drama's

its mostly up to leadership and communication, even a free roll system can work extremely well - as long as everyone understood the rules, and follow it

at least we can be glad that WoW has improved alot since then - 10/25 man raid instead a humongeous 40 man, badge gear for raid-equal upgrades, and soon raid weekly quests!

For trophy i let people roll themselves. Yes sometimes i also do raid roll /roll 25  and the reason is same as yours, but for this instance i let people including myself have the satisfaction of rolling themselves if that helps them feel luckier on getting the winning roll...

The raid rules was mainspec priority, offspec if no mainspec wants. Everything was rolled for :/ just the basic system.
There was an instance where 2 cloth pieces with spirit spell power and haste dropped. I let the entire raid decide if dps classes can roll for it as well since i am not familiar with their classes. Anyway they decided that dps can roll for it so i let the dps class who won roll take loh I try not to decide these sort of judgemental calls all by myself, so later people don't place blame on me

The drop highlight of the day was the dps trinket Death something... a hunter won roll. He deserved it anyway since he pulled 7000dps on the Twin Valkry fight
Anyway back to the original topic. What bothered me was, he got his priest friend to try to make me feel bad so i would cave into that tank's demand. Said i was a good at leading the raid but thought i wasn't being fair on loot :/ then claims i may not have many people wanting to go to my raids after this (which i seriously doubt by the way).
If i knew this cake fella better maybe i would have been kind enough to share even though he didn't win. But looking at his personality i thought otherwise... how would you think if that tank since from start of the first boss kill talks like he did? Doesn't sound nice does it.

The other tank was a friend of mine from my former guild. He never complained and in fact he was happy for me. I last time gave him a dps ring even though i won it :/ and he did the same for me before with some tank pieces. For him i wouldn't mind sharing But recently my old guild leader gave him the World Carver from Ignis even though i won the roll and both of us are mainspec tanks and offspec dps :/ So he sorta ninjad me, but not his fault.. lol...

If you're relatively geared and the things you need only drops from Koralon, I doubt you will want to stay to kill Emalon and Archavon too just for the conquest badges.

Most people clear all of VoA because "oh well might as well do it since we're already here". If all three bosses are split in their own instances and lock outs, most wouldn't even bother with the older bosses.

I've got ninja-ed a couple of weeks ago, a black drake that drops from OS+3 10man.

Sent a ticket, got the drake the next day and the ninja didn't log in for almost 4 days. So I assumed he got a 3-day suspension lol.
