@aspire2006: on your question why it take so long : it will take so long, regardless whether it is electrical/mechanical, coz defrag is to me like going back to the library and restructuring back the books. regardless of people or machines doing it, that job is going to take a long time...

err bad news. just stumbled upon this: QUOTE You may have applications that assume or require files in flash memory to be contiguous. In that case defragging would be a good idea. But wait, there is a problem. Flash memory only supports a finite number of writes and defraging involves a lot of writing. So by defragging flash you are shortening its working life. I think that answers everything on defragging our tube MMC

QUOTE he said he can install to memory card but not phone memory wo. Not the other way around QUOTE anyone faced "unable to install" for jar files to memory card but able to install onto phone memory? anyone know how to solve this issue? It sounds like : MMC = Unable, Phone = Able, Rite? nway, app mgr doesn't seems to help. no such options there. did this happen for all ur java files or just one app? not sure if missing jad file could trigger it though (not expert in mobile apps)

e-mail notifications can be found here:
messaging > email > options > email settings > auto retrieval > email notifications (set to auto update).
though i rarely use this anymore now, prefer the nokia pink (is it red, i dunno. red-pink i think, i mean the @ icon) email software.
sorry for the late reply, was busy playing "where in the world is carmen sandiago" tube version. haha. after long time nvr play dis game (last played back when i was in primary school, bout 15 years ago i think haha)

i'm using it. but rarely now. rather open inside opera or just autoupdate using the pink @ icon app . rather than notifying me on the screen, the app will signal me thru ringtone/vibration for any incoming emails. that's fine to me ald

@aaronlim : there's 2 servers for update. 1 = OTA (over the air == by phone). 1 = NSU (nokia software updater == thru pc). i think this was discussed before. just to kill you : read the topic. v31 through NSU!!!! haha
anyway, got NSU for linux eh? will surely gives headsup to nokia if they got NSU for linux as i'm using ubuntu and OTA only support v30 till now....

@boonpeng : cool. this will surely kills Digi promotional know-your-music-thing they featured before. update : well, maybe no. i mean, for sure this will need an internet connection. so on certain cases, Digi might be more valuable than this midomi thing. Unless u're ald on Tube to connect to internet (like me hehehe) then u might need to pay extra money to use this This post has been edited by carbonytte: Oct 28 2009, 04:06 PM

@Jimmy0415: If u see problem installing apps, then u need a soft reset. And if your phone is not giving prob, no need soft reset. If your phone got prob, look for solution first before doing a soft reset Added on October 29, 2009, 11:42 amQUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Oct 29 2009, 10:17 AM) o mai~ u just know? friend, what he's trying to imply is v31.bla3.101 is available thru FOTA and NSU. before it was only NSU... anyone tried it? @tachlio : FOTA updating doesn't necessarily requires you to reinstall your stuff. Well, not mine at least. even though it says "It is advised to do so".. That's where FOTA/NSU differs. You download the whole package for NSU, but only the required thing thing for FOTA (i think). that's y FOTA updating is faster than NSU

@vexus : serious? actually it frees up some memory. refer old post. anyway there's no point in upgrading a FW if there is no improvement. that's what FW are all about : improvement and stability... @sklchan : Check the box, on the back side ( and I mean the back side of the box ), if u bought the downgraded version of tube, it should write something like "TV-out not supported" or something like that. Refer old posts (very2 old post), got someone put a picture of the text on the box. If don't have, maybe then u're cheated, but then just to be safe, check your manual. Manual should describe if yours support or not. If support, still no TV-out, then u're seriously cheated (though it is almost impossible to get so since sellers nowadays very baik de ) This post has been edited by carbonytte: Oct 29 2009, 04:07 PM
