Hey my d40 got a little prob... dunno is shutter problem or not. It happens very rare but sometimes will happen. When i shoot a lot of photos continuously then after awhile after autofocus already, i press the shutter button but it didn't capture anything. Then after a few seconds i try again it become normal. But it will reoccur later.

Is it shutter problem? My SC is only 10k. age of my D40 is 1 year and 2 months. It rarely happens but I'm afraid it will reoccur next time.

Oh.. I had the same problem like you on my d40 before... I also don't know why that occurs.. but that time was probably my lens and body contact wasn't good... put to single shot mode, and everything should be fine.

i am using single shot mode... Not burst mode/continuous mode. Maybe my lens contact not good already, becuz sometimes when i take my d40 out of the bag it can't AF at all, need to remount the lens. Haiz... Plastic mount sucks man..
