hey today i try the Wlan on my 5730, and a meter bar with a '3g' next to it appears at the top left during the loading of web browsers. am i using 3g which charges applies, or only wifi?

if u using wifi...it will not charge for 3G usage..u no need to worry bout it

how do u feel the experiences surfing internet using this phone?

esp fb,youtube & lyn

means u r using the expensive 3g to browse.

start ur browser by pressing 0 long long->option->setting->general->always ask

then the next time, just remember to choose ur wifi spot.

when wifi is on, it will appear as a square flower at top right next to bluetooth.

for god sake... install opera for symbian.

normal web experience is great. everything works perfect except flash related like facebook games.

for youtube, you can access it in menu->internet->youtube.

running on celcom 3g is quite smooth with minimal buffering.

warning though. if u dun have data plan, loading lyn takes about 1mb
if 10kb=10sen, means 1000kb= rm10 for loading lyn front page.

Its actually pretty good. I usually surf using the default web for fb and youtube. Opera mini for lyn .
Oh btw did any1 update to the latest firmware? Got any difference ke?

dont simply trust games downloaded in OVI. especially those FREE or TRIAL one. some will send sms back home and u will get charged.

if unsure, switch to offline mode and run the game and see.

hey lj0000, can you point out any other necessary setting so that when using wifi internet or garmin XT, there is no extra charges apply

if u want to totally avoid data charges
menu->setting->settings->connection->destination
delete everything. note you wont be able to send/receive mms.

guys, i always using garmin (hacked) on my 5730.. but i wonder why gps coverage so low.. how to check gps coverage instead looking on the phone.

just fyi, i already update my firm.. is it related?

with the'n' icon for n-gage. in the n-gage app, browse left to play

Fyi, not all cracked n-gage games can be played after hacking. only a few are compatible. after hacking you need to do some installation before playing n-gage games. some are only trial version.

My updater keeps telling me thats an error. Anyone of any help?

Try reinstalling the updater

Done that already. Actually I found out the problem in the end. It's likely because of my KAV2010's firewall.
