hye guys.. is this game worth to play or should i wait for gw2? any opinion since i cant try the game myself..
p/s: this is not fan boy question or raging Q. its just for the sake of gamers who looking for a game worth to spend on..
ok, here's my opinion. i've played & bought both games colletor edition. i've played this on beta & playin it rite now too. i've played GW2 beta 2.
tera u can only play in europe server cause us server block ip. the company running europe server which is frogster is a problematic company & fail much in handling support for the players, lol u can see this at their forum...maybe it's because the company is quite new or other reasons idk, i've never heard of this company till now...on the other hand gw2 of anet/ncsoft had been in mmo business for quite some times, lineage 2, gw1, aion...all r major & popular international games (correct me if i'm wrong, i dont wan to upset any1 lol)
Gaming:
the ping playing europe server aint good, meaning delay which is not very good for a action based mmo (no tab targetting...) <<< this's a serious matter u'll need to carefully think about. fyi, my pc is quite new (bought on april) wif gaming spec and 10mb Unifi, i'm also using WTFast for some mmo i'm playin...for some reasons WTFast failed to help me wif TERA...it'll still get delay...
both games r unique & very very beautiful rendered character, cities, scenery...
tera is somewhat action based mmorpg, aim xhair & fire stuffs/spells/melee which very few mmorpg had be4....it's also a typical grinding mmorpg, u'll need to grind to lvl up backup by storyline quest/sideline quest & repeatable quest + instances/dungeons. the character creation is great wif lots races to choose from compare to gw2. the open world in tera is not that big but the instances play is very good & fun, it's a rip off from WoW but it's a success! craftin in Tera is so-so... gameplay is fun at 1st but u'll get bored of it after some grind, lol but maybe the gears & craft will make it up for ya...for pvp idk never try & never will cause i noe i'll only end up being pawn wif this delay...u can have lots of fun when ur smooth but u'll get miserable when delay, unlike wow u can still play well even u got a 500+ ping!!! oh yea, for tera u dont have to wait, it's out now & final...
thr's not much i can say for gw2 since it's just at its 2nd beta mode, final & release maybe at the end of this year no confirmation yet..it's only open up a small part of its huge world, some instances & pvp. gw2 is unique on its own, it got a auto targettin which i think is quite a nice feature, switching weapon mode changes ur skills (u can have 2 set of weapons at a time), water battle changes ur skills, no mana/stamina casting, no stand ground casting, dodging button, no grinding, personal story, global event...all of this which i think is very unique & good, i've tons of fun & great experience playing wif. The city is Awesomely HUGE & LIVELY, no kidding! i've nvr try the pvp nor instances yet but i can say the personal story quest line, side quest & global event is very good. i've played gw1 pvp, i can say that gw2 pvp wont failed either...not sure bout instances though, thr's no tank/heal/dps watsoever in gw2, so i personally dont noe how it'll work successfully

...for lvl it'll change by zone, when u at low lvl zone ur lvl will change to lower lvl & when u r at the zone of ur lvl it'll change back, when in pvp its automatically change to full lvl. during the beta i'm playing it very smoothly without any delay or lag unlike tera & the ping went down even more with proxy (WTFast)...
well thr's still much will be change for gw2 since it's still on beta & the full game havent out yet...
Both games got its good & bad but i did recommend gw2 for the free subcription & smooth server (for me this's the most important when playing other country mmorpg) & i personally like gw2 gameplay beter but if u r sure that ur pc system is very good & u r sure that u got a very-Awesome-Internet then u can try out TERA! If not u r gonna end up miserably & cursing for the delay, lol! edited : i'm not sure it's our country internet fault or its theirs fault lol
