Experience when join: only got practical -> Did you obtain your MBA straight after you graduate?
*
yup direct MBA cos CGPA over 3.5

A decent MBA requires a few years of working experience before u r accepted to do the program.
So, don't expect a high salary just because you have a MBA.

MBA at age 24? Did you do it in a local university?
*
Doin in GSM, UPM top 5 MBA in Asia and 1st in Malaysia

agree on that. MBA wit xperience is same as graduate oso.

i believe its local~ if overseas, can obtain at age 22-23...

btw MBA salary is depend on how u search for job..some my fren get 3k+ with no experience when first enter...
i do get offer as Senior Executive with 3.5k but i turn down the offer as i need travel quite a distance to get there...
i finally end up working in Benq with onli 5 min from my house laugh.gif

Then, that is your choice, isn't it? =.=. I don't see your point of complaining that the salary is low then because you were being offered a higher pay but you turned it down.

Added on November 18, 2007, 7:42 pmAnd, steven, do you mind sharing with me some of the coursework in your MBA ? I would also like to know how the course is being carried out because this is the first time I encounter someone who has done MBA straight after graduation from undergrad.

frankly speaking go do MBA after u grad or else u going hard to catch up on assignment...
few my collegue fail as they dont know how to do the assignment ...most of them forget how to generate graph to show comparison in thier research..
some of my schoolmate they grad and working half year..then direct go for MBA part time...cos that time u have job to support and yet u still fresh..

This has been discussed to death in the MBA thread. In short though, good schools will require a minimum age/experience level before you can join the MBA program.

You're supposed to learn about practical business in an MBA program, learning from each other. The professor/lecturer acts as a facilitator, to facilitate the discussion. If you join in without any experience, the discussion is based only on theory. I wouldn't suggest getting an MBA unless you have some experience already, and I wouldn't hire anyone with an MBA without experience.

then why ppl hire degree when they dun have working exp???
fresh grad from MBA doesnt mean they need to pay much...this is just to separate those degree and mba...now u can see degree is all over the place....u are just goin fight with so many ppl...
with working experience u can apply at course... but MBA not just business admin la even the sound is business administration ..it cover whole business process...from hr to finance from local to international..no matter u work how many years...ur working experience not even more than 50% use in the course... then mostly use is the corelation formula using during ur degree... who still remember when u not using ur corelation formula during working ...work life dont use that... use still remember after 5 years???? if your parent can afford just go for MBA...when u grad u have better chance compare to degree and moving up faster than u rather waste ur 3 years time doin part time where u can finish in 1 year and 3 month...
