I'm in construction at a cetain stage though not eng., ... if youre a girl, prove ure as strong, and confidant as any guy doing civil, assuming u know ur stuff la. Other than that, I notice most would resign to a differant occupation. But... If you want to put your hard earned degree to the metal, best start somewhere like inhouse Developer companies, they have their own eng architects draughting team multimedia etc. I noticed the last company I joined had a girl entered. Nice person, but to bad, she was all pretty the first day, come by 3 months, and her hair is all scrawny pouring over a calculator and dwgs, and what she sometimes cant do all the time is justified by what she can do, so dont worry about the sites, there are plenty of guys out there who would love to get out of the office for a smoke and a contractor-blanja-lunch, Im sure your contribution to any team would be greatly appreciated and deserved. Remember, Inhouse Developer Firms. Good luck. thumbup.gif

Job Title : (Freelance) Graphic/Architectural Designer/Animator/Webdesigner
Current Age: 24
Job Desciption : Anything Multimedia, Architecture, Interior, arts, graphic - pretty much learning one thing and picking up a hundred others... makes u feel satisfied of ur accomplishments in each project.
Company : RHFCreations (based - PG, KL, JHR)
Industry : Service... speacialist, and most probably Arts.
Tenur : Permanant
Employment Level : ~
Experience before joining : very good experience and confidance in the above said in Job Description, minimum I guess is... a month just in case
salary : RM1200/night (overal depends on project scale, quality, and timeframe)

Finding it hard to fill in my job description above, I felt the urge to post this extra peice just to share some stuff. Just in case if ure wondering what kind of job this is, well its a self motivated kinda thingy and its up to me to decide for how long and how far. U know how some people say that the higher u study the better ur future looks, well after reading all the posts I kinda wanted to share what I did with my little self. Did u notice tht experience has become kinda the only reason why ur boss would pay u good money only to slice it because uve not got a good degree? Well I sort of took that scenario as my platform for precaution in case i didnt get a good degree and no experience.

I guess what I'm gonna post here would be enlighting to those who are just taking their first step after SPM, a time of choices, or currently thinking if they're getting all the A's would they live happily ever after or otherwise?

I'm a Part 2 graduate in Architecture, means I can practice knowledge, consult deisgns and ideas, but cant conclude a contract with my signature or setup my own practice. I didnt go all the way to part 3 (yet, but planning to) because like some, at the time I was short of money (my dads a consultant but he prefers me learning life the hard way) and wanted to try alot of things (cars, powerful rigs, tech stuff, not girls coz i think highly of them - 7 sisters u know blink.gif )

I realised this when I entered first year, saw that most of the students were all just learning the shit which I had already twiddled during my spm holidays with my NEC VERSA 2600 so I guess when I entered, it was like kindergarten. Enjoyed myself helping people, coz it gained me some level of respect, not only among my classmates but also my peers.

Then I noticed tht my course is gonna take too long before I even c 2.5k basic. its 5 years (3+2) if u didnt know already, so I honed my skills in animation and 3d renderings coz tht was the hots in the market of the time... 1999-2000 like tht.

Tried my luck working in a few architect firms being their lap dog for 200-500 a month during my 2nd yr, from photcopier then promoted to printerer, during my final months was I then shown the industries requiremants. Applied it in my studies and it got me A's easily and into my second and final degree for architecture. Then a year later wanted to test my confidance so I joined up with a developer firm and was their designer as well as their animator. Wow, I got 2.5k through bullshitting them about my experience which I had only as a hobby (Guess it was because i gave them ISO9002, was good looking and fluent tongue.gif ). that time i was only in the 4th yr of my studies. Left that dumb company later after a few months because It sucks being a high lap dog only earning tht much doing work like as if the dateline was always tommorow, which wasnt whereas at night I would be doing some freelance jobs for others for that same amount a night. Seems I pengaruh my whole department who resigned within the same week as me whistling.gif . heheh serves the company right. But then I bumped into a fren, my senior, who was getting married n he told me he wanted me to join his company giving freedom to do anything i want and getting the income at 100% per job (the market was to heavy for a one man show at that time), it was the one I mentioned at the top. Seems what i wanted was there, to earn for what I love doing, animation and design...

So now I'm graduated and earning too much at 24. Opened up a few more companies tht were like that one, BSD, ADG for contract purposes but hey, I'm having fun with my SUPER RIG's and GREAT CARS now. Still we cant beat the 'Malaysian Friday' guys because those guys are high end (gua tabit lu all), but untuk meringkaskan the whole thing I wrote, if u have it in u to push ur skills to their max, espeacially in design and animation, dont wait for an office pay, start learning some Sosial Engineering as Mitnick would say and know the RIGHT people (those who can at least give u good input and right directions, not waste ur time over pointless assumptions), coz by the end of the day, u dont want to work for ur debts, but for ur pleasure.

PS: BTW anyone can learn these things i do and using it to their hearts content, the younger the better, its just a matter of learning it and exploiting it, thts all Cheers and Good Luck
