want to ask u guys, which would be a better prospect between a system engineer and software engineer. my current office is damn boring. only 2 ppl inside. and now most of the time i deal with client or doing debugging. no more new development. getting boring with programming life.

i had another offer for system engineer. contract based. local company as well, but seems they are bigger company. salary 2k + allowance(400 if shift, 200 if standby, 100 per day if outstation, and OT as well). my current boss said i will get increment if i secure another project (in the mid of dealing with the client already). should i jump and do shift work, or just stay?

yeah more to system implementation. hardware installation, setting, maintain, troubleshoot and so on. currently they are on gov contract. for 2 years if not mistaken. after that, if the contract expired, i might have to find another job.
