Tenure : Renewable contract
Education level : BSc, MSc (on-going)
Experience : Nil prior to joining the industry (Unless consider the short stints I had while pursuing my BSc)
Salary : Prefer not to mention (unless you PM me lar..), but within the range of 2.5-3.0k basic starting...

Depending on individual view... For me, I see little or no drawback as I'm passionate about my research work and enjoy the flexibility of research given to me. Only thing is I'm short of quality staff....
Given my young age and relative infancy in the industry compared to other senior scientists, I feel blessed for being able to pursue my dreams.
And ya, being in the plantation industry really is good for saving money as the temptation to spend, spend, and spend some more isn't there. Unfortunately I don't save as much as another brother here because I sorta "donate" a big part of my income to my car...
