QUOTE(sordanny @ Oct 20 2009, 02:55 PM)
masters actually don't mean anything when u go for interviews
it's just a paper only
in hiring, i'll look for - confidence, leadership, teamwork

i know, but sometimes those interview question can be faked..so most of the company, for safety reasons, look at certs..

just tested using S42 overclock + downclock a bit...
core downclock from 500 -> 450, and shader from 1250 -> 1350

played burnout paradise with the settings i mentioned reached 96C..played for around 10-20 minutes and see the temperature only hover around 93C, drop by at least 3C..however the framerate dropped by 3-7

Added on October 21, 2009, 12:39 amanyway for s42 that wishing to test dropping/increasing their temp..here it is

http://cn.download.nvidia.com/Windows/nFor...ystem_tools.exe

it will isntall the ntune that is compatible with W7..and different from the previous version, this one seperated core and shader, so u can downclock core speed to lower the temp, and try to juice up the shader instead for the performance..

@soojin: service quite good...last time i send..i put quite detailed description there, and they actually called back asking if they could format my com..unlike some others, that my friend encounter, go in, come back, new windows installation liao....somemore they actually fixed my temperature problem(for a while...right now for some reason it's not as good, but still better then last time...)

eh weiyap,since u have overheat issue, try look into the tool i posted last page..i tried downclock the core by 50mhz(10%) and the temperature never hit above 93C anymore even i clocked the shader to 1350(originally 1250)..gonna OC the memory clock tonight...
what i notice is, right now even with fixed fan and slightly better cooler..the temperature will still go up to 96C in burnout paradise..i assume the same case in grid since it's more GPU hunger..and might even go higher..so if u downclock, it will drop the frame by at least 5-6fps, but i think at least it will solve ur heat issue...maybe just try to push the shader to make it up for the core's performance lost

miahaha..my downclock of core speed to 450 actually let me drop idle by 2-3C(maybe it's the air con, but 59C - 62C idle temp range is rather rare to me)..the new ntune really is nice... ur peak temp is how much?
