It's not gonna change,as the syllabus and the whole memorise the whole bloody book bullshit are still there. Just like a Chinese saying, change the soup but did not change the medicine. Added on October 4, 2009, 12:34 pmQUOTE(mumeichan @ Oct 4 2009, 12:28 PM) Btw if you think 85+ for an A+ is crazy, it really isn't. Not surprised, even in my uni,it's pretty much the same system. They rarely use the normal distribution curve. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Oct 4 2009, 12:34 PM

QUOTE(spunkberry @ Oct 4 2009, 12:45 PM) I agree with that. Where I am: 95-100% = A 90-94% = A- 86-89% = B+ 85% = B 80-84% = B- and so on. 85% for an A+ is already low Still,in where i am,getting 85% and above is hard where only a very small amount of students gonna get that. They gonna reduce the percentage of HD to about only 1% of the students, from a hearsay. QUOTE(zltan @ Oct 4 2009, 01:53 PM) These should be the marks for A+: Maths M: 98% Maths T: 95% Chemistry: 92% Biology: 92% Physics: 92% History: 92% BM: 88% English: 98% (SPM english is ridiculously easy, so unless they make it harder, this should be the mark) EST: 95% Moral: 90% Moral should be abolished. Complete crap.

QUOTE(vick5821 @ Oct 4 2009, 03:22 PM) Just wan to ask that how many A+ i can get? The numbers of A+ doesnt matter if you cant apply what you have learn later on.

QUOTE(Shoki @ Oct 4 2009, 08:09 PM) Why choose Japan? Malaysia's education system is wierd. I doubt going to Japan has anything to do with Malaysia education.

QUOTE(Shoki @ Oct 5 2009, 12:11 AM) Ps those two sentences are not supposed to be related. They were for 2 different posts. Sorry for not quoting. No worries. QUOTE(spunkberry @ Oct 5 2009, 12:17 AM) depends. For the record, I always had 100% on my English papers back in KL I mean in uni,not back in high school. I used to get like 95% for maths. Now,even a HD is damn hard for me to get.

QUOTE(spunkberry @ Oct 5 2009, 12:28 AM) English exams in Malaysia are a joke. In high school, it was 50 multiple choice questions to do in 1.5 hours and me going really really REALLY slow, making sure every circled answer was a perfect circle still had me finishing at about 20 minutes in, with checking time. If they really are implementing this new grading system, I completely support it I know a few other people who find the Malaysian english exam way too easy. Changing the grading isnt enough. They have to change the syllabus and improve the standard,as our current standard is still too low. If not, you'll still get people like me who writes badly written English.

QUOTE(spunkberry @ Oct 5 2009, 08:51 AM) Pendidikan Moral is bullshit, honestly. Now only you mention that. It's a pointless subject to begin with,as you need to memorise those nilais. Not like memorising those nilai will make you a better person. I rather see this subject to be more course work based, like writing a report on community service than memorising 30 lines of crap so that you can vomit them out in the final exam.
