Well, it has always been our govenrment's style to announce first and then figure out later how to implement something. Or implement something without having done the proper research on the implications. Having announced the change at such a late time has put a lot of students under stress especially those who are of the higher intellectual capacity who are aiming for the scholarships. And these students generally stress out more.

I suppose to look on the bright side is that there are more As to go after.

There is nothing much more anyone can do about it except to concentrate on doing well for the upcoming exam.

Having said that, wish all the guys and gals good luck in the upcoming SPM.

Pengiraan merit ke IPTA guna gred baru

PUTRAJAYA 30 Okt.

what's the problem?

ministry of education changed the SPM grading system a while back. this news is basically the changing of IPTA's intake criteria to suite the change in SPM.

nothing new here...

no, this means that the competition will be very stiff. IMHO, it's harder to achieve A+ rather than current 1A. this is because 1A's mark is currently ranging from 80 - 100, while A+ will be 90 - 100 (or is it 95? forget already). and for some subject, it's really hard to score more than 90. don't be surprised if I say that the best student in my school who got 15 1A in the previous trial exam only got 82 and 80 for Bahasa Melayu and Biology, while the other subjects she scored 90+.

then just target for A la... make things simple... treat A+ as extra gift... But I wonder, how chinese language, est and biology can have people to get A+, since previously also very little people to score A1... those subjects are regards as killer subject in SPM.... I wonder, WHO are so lucky to get A+ in those subject, then reli...
