damn envy la. d problem is i always moving around. so i can't settle on gigantic toys that i will have to lug around whereever i go. as it is lugging my ps3 takes one huge bag already (but still within the 20kg limit - but if take airasia is extra already). looks like unless i change my career, i will never get to buy rockband instruments. life sucks

i'll wait for rb3 before buying the drum set. surely it will be improved from the rb2 set. i'll do with ghwt drums at the moment, so i can still get my fix on it. good plan?

there was, i saw somewhere while i was half asleep - a midi adapter for ps3, xbox360 and wii. is like a game controller with 2 ports. 1 port hooks into the guitar (must be midi compliant), and another hooks into the console. so, don't think its wireless. the adapter has the normal standard analog sticks and buttons u find on a game controller. if i stumble across a pic i will paste it.

the bloody thing cost usd39.99 - about 140 rm!!! u can fix it at your belt, so the controller is always close to u at any one time. but it can only service 1 midi instrument at anyone time. so if u want to play together, u must buy many of those 140rm thingy. of course doesn't include d instruments yet. the midi guitar is selling at usd79.99 - about rm280. so get ready for an expensive gift for the family (read: myself) for christmas.

better wait for rockband 3 bundle. reason: its more of real instrument playing then "pretend" playing. gh is on its way to extinction. a full set rockband 2 is about 700rm plus 1 guitar is about 300rm, that is if u wanna buy now. rockband3 is out october.

no, the rm700 bundle already comes with 1 guitar. so another guitar will make it 1.0k. guitar for 150rm exist but it is either 2nd hand or 3rd party. not the original rockband2 guitar

rockband or rockband 2? rockband 2 is of course more expensive. rockband instrument does not work with guitar hero games at all, rock band 2 instrument works on some guitar hero games. there is actually a complex matrix on instrument compability if u google (i believe is somewhere in this thread too if u care to read all 18 pages), but to make it easy for u, i shall just say rock band 2 instruments only works with guitar hero 5 onwards.

about rm300, maybe lower nowadays coz rb3 is around d corner. but it won't be too much. yes, but look at this chart:

with rb titles, definitely, but with gh titles i dono. but i hope so, looking at the trend that rockband 2 intruments started, high change it would be.

my current job don't allow me to lug my instruments around. damn i buy anyway for retirement
