Bro... i did test drive a Vious v Autofoam. Still cant eliminate the noise tat annoying me.

Congrats mate. Btw i also felt the alarm button is insensitive. I always prone to error on pressing the wrong button when unlocking the car

3 solutions for u:

1. Blast the music in ur car louder. I always do that
2. Put some ear plugs into ur ear
3. Sell off ur vios and get a mercedes/lexus/bentley. That shall do the trick

Sorry for my sarcasm but i cant help it when u cant stand the noise like most general cars.

found a problem with my vios..
when I right turn to max, the car go like tires is "pumchat"...when to down and see, all the tires are ok...it is repeatable, and obvious on cement floor...

Whats wrong...?

This can be either

1. ur alignment needs adjustment
2. ur tyres on ur right need to pump some air.

is new vios using cobra alarm? not sure about it.

sound proof eliminate wind noise more than autofoam i guess. since sound proof covering almost the whole car while autofoam only fill into the body chasis.

yeap... i think using cobra alarm cos last week i get my reverse sensor fixed by cobra ppl.... they only at service center every tuesday and thursday...

Need some advice here... now I'm planning to buy a Vios...can't decide to buy new one or used. Currently my budget around 70k... If buy new one can only get Vios J, but if 2nd hand possible to get Vios G (2008). However if i buy the used one, the interest rate might be higher... Any idea what's the best interest rate for used car? If i buy the vios J, it is lack of safety feature (coz no airbag)...somebody called it "tin kosong".

So which one should i go for? Vios J or Vios G? hopefully the interest rate will not so much in different.

Since ur car is black putting bronze or white color rims should look great. Design wise its up to personal's taste.

I would go for the used vios G. The 2008 one should cost less than 70k easily and by right interest rate is by 3.5 for 5 years to 3.8-4 for 7-9 years. Just slightly higher than new car but still acceptable.

Should i wait till next year? 2008 car will be more cheaper next year right?

I'm driving a 06' facelift model, but not the latest one. AutoFoam really did improve the soundproofing especially when car or motorcycle pass by, the difference is there.

Anyway, to be honest that AutoFoam is not really settle down my "plasticky" noise. The dashboard noise is still there and really hard to eliminate them. I've think of one way to eliminate them, that is to use the soundproof mat and stick them on the dashboard.

You said you did test drive a Vios with AutoFoam, and what kind of noise you are referring to? If you have prepare a budget, you can go to KL Auto to find Desmond, he will explain more to let you understand and see which way you would like to go.

As I said before, AutoFoam is not only act as an important job to eliminate the noise, soudproof mat is a must.

If you have fully soundproof your Toyota Vios include the plastic dashboard, and also did AutoFoam, your car is definitely better than other stock Toyota Vios. Have you driving a Toyota Vios with AutoFoam that running on 130km/h?

To improve a car's comfort and noise, you have to spend a lot of money on these modification:
1) AutoFoam
2) Soundproof
3) Absorber

These modification above would cost you nearly approximately RM8,000.

Bear in mind, we are driving a compact car but not any large or luxury saloon.

Bear in mind the resale value for vios is always good, so u never know by 2009 the price wont differ much. Just find for a good unit matters here.

no money to upgrade coz already plan for wedding long time ago.
