well...will the rise in the real gdp of the country offset the ballooning inflation rates? we'll have to watch tongue.gif see how macroeconomics theories come into play....
Yup, thats a little odd... sooner or later, US will have to impose contractionary monetary policies to bring down the inflation rate...lets hope that by that time, the market will be resilient enough..then it wont drop that bad tongue.gif
*
yeah true true.

if the economy's bullish enough to absorb the interest rate changes then it'll be fine. just like today's rate hike was treated as a bullish buy signal instead of a sell into strength signal.

I have 1 exam going on next year, will put CCP aside first.

Not going for forex trading at this moment, but notice the chart movement is ok lah...

I noticed that forex chart and KNM chart look quite alike laugh.gif
*
really? wow. downwards is it? tongue.gif

it should be all green for KNM now with a RM3.2bil backlog order. back to pre-June boom please! rclxm9.gif do a private placement to reduce gearing to 0.6 and it'll pop the 1 ringgit cherry!

their AGM wont be so soon (mid-November), and since this share div needs AGM approval, there's still time to decide or wait for a better price..

just want you guys to be careful. the market's running on steroids now, a string of good news and the markets rally.

FTSE is back at pre-Oct levels. so that's about 10-13% rise from the dip.

hehe, i really have no clue where this is going now. the strong rally on optimism is really frightening! unsure.gif

read an article in the Financial Times saying that retail investors are and have been on the sideline making up only 5% of market participation, what the paper thinks is that hedge funds have been propping up the market with cash.

if its hedge fund speculation.. it gives me even more things to be worried about! the last run on speculation on oil brought it to 130 was it? so yeah.... way past the fundamentals.

It is true that all the major markets are trading/rising on very thin (historical) volumes I think hmm.gif
As far as UK is concerned, I think 'retail investors' are staying out of the market because they have NO CASH.
Fake asset rich (houses) and cash poor IMHO.
*
woo spot on! thanks for pointing the trading volume out. it's thinner than the early Oct dip all right.
i'm not happy with the state of affairs here. looks like malaysia has a brighter future tongue.gif

i tot it is when retail investors go into the markets, then not long after that markets collapses??retail investors usually are the last group to enter??
*
ok from what i understand from that phrase, there are rational and irrational retail investors. rational ones .. are probably us here in the forum, doing research, gathering info, buying in phases, setting target prices, etc. when irrational retail investors rush en-masse into the market, that's when trouble start.

you know it when u hear uncles in the bank talking about hot stocks.

chain store reports due tomorrow i think. gottta look at that for some retail information.

i'm quite agreed with cherroy. the market so bullish it'll turn anything into good news. yesterday's late surge was a sign investors didn't wanna miss out on the rally regardless of risk.

dow's up 107.31 (1.10%) to 9832.39 now. looks like this run will see it back at at least 10000.

edit: USD and GBP slumped against major currencies.. if this keeps up until Christmas, US-dependent trade countries are going to take a hit. eek!

dow's trying to push through resistance now.
if it succeeds, then it'll go very far ahead. crucial moment now.

S&P 500 : 1,068.78 up (1.03%).

S&P Resistance: 1070

i'm in the midst of doing a brief technical analysis on Tanjong. got reason to believe it's going to behave like TA before the breakout so rambutan's currently under my #1 most important stock to watch this 2 weeks right now hohoho laugh.gif
