take ur phone to nokia care centre (NCC), ask them about fw update, and they will know what to do......

if ur phone is ori set, under warranty, then foc.....

if ur phone is ap set / water set / foreign set or already expired warranty, then expect to pay RM30-50 (depends on how lengzai u are, kidding )

i'm planning to get a handphone for my wife this month, and found N97 while browsing thru list of phones matching my criteria. anybody can advise me on the current market price for this phone? or better still, if anybody can recomment me a good dealer who sells N97 mini at reasonably cheap price. thanks in advance

i think N97 mini only can get used unit for now.....

no more brand new units available (unless u are very lucky to find a seller/dealer who still have stock)

Nokia E7 price is kinda lower ald now. You can consider about it although i am not so sure about their updates and etc.

The keyboard on it is kinda nice to type, but i don't like it since the battery is not user replaceable. My bulky N97 needs a replacement battery when i am outing more than 5 hours during online use.

C6, E7 and N8 are good alternatives to N97 / N97 mini

how cheap is 'lower ald now' ? maybe your cheap is not my cheap ler fren anyway i must admit, when it came out last time, i also was so tempted to go for E7. but (fortunately) I went for N8 and never regret the decision. thanks for the recommendation anyway

the phone is for my wife, and she does not prefer touch screen only so that's rule out N8. so am looking around now and have N97 mini & E6 in mind previously. but after reading the replies in here, my option grows with C6 and E7 as well. thanks
