want in-ear type and need good clarity, bass average.for musics, movies and gaming purposes

Can anyone recommend me a good headphone that can be a substitute for normal/5.1 speakers+subwoofer? I'm going to use it for gaming. Budget around RM250 and I'm gonna shop for it in Lowyat Plaza. Tq

I got my PL50 today. It's good, especially the mids. Bass quantity isnt very good, but I'm okay with that. Highs are okay but a bit muddy and lacks sparkle me think, probably drowned out a bit by the mids. Soundstage is alright, but use the silicone tips. The foamies are rubbish when it comes to soundstage. Maybe I havent seen many IEMs yet, but I dont find the build quality to be very good. Average or slightly above average I would say. Good for pop songs and vocals, so something like Lily Allen sounds great on these.

I think the next IEM I wanna try is one which is brighter and more analytical with high detail. I like my treble to be crisp and sparkling. is it true that dynamic drivers usually lack detail of BA earphones? Also, I like my soundstage to be very wide, since I sometimes listen to film scores and quite a number of my non-score tracks are quite orchestral. But I've read that dynamic drivers have single BA beat in this category. So, can anyone recommend dynamic driver earphones that has nice, bright highs? Below RM250.

Hi, i am going to buy a ear plug for music and movie mainly and gaming.
My budget is around 80 and maximun 100
i like bass but i dn wan it give strong bass onli while other frequency range of sound is bad

i am thinking of buying a new headphone around rm700-800 (or less) next year. im using samsung p2 and clip+ and hopefully the headphone can be driven unamped. i also want it to be portable (not so bulky, better if can carry in my backpack) since im a student and i prefer to listen to music anywhere i go. doesn't care much whether its open or closed but better if it is comfortable to be worn for long hours.

i listen to all kind of music, but prefers rock and heavy metal.

any suggestions?

Anything which sounds AWESOME will do fine. I do a lot of gaming.. and I mean a lot. That doesn't mean I'll buy a gaming headset(when all they add is a microphone) when I know I can get a better quality headphones for the same price. Any recommendations? I prefer Sennheiser, but impress me anyhow.

I worked a lot on getting RM200-300 lol. I'm not a scholarship student, what do you expect? Trying to apply, though.

So uh.. my music genre? I prefer an all-around good, please (The way it's meant to sound like, I guess). I'll say ridiculously high bass isn't my thing. I like anime songs, if that matters.

On another thing, what about those 5.1 headphones? Do audiophiles use them, or are they most likely gaming headphones? They will be my future buy. They cost quite a lot too, RM 700. Anything for an edge in online gaming, though. There's this guy I play with that has a 5.1 setup (not headphones) that score ridiculously high in COD4.

I don't have a discrete sound card, no amp, nothing. Just my realtek chip. Discrete soundcard will be in the future.
Don't forget to tell me where I can get them too.

1) Design, either red or white
2) Comfortable
3) Sound Quality.

I'm looking for the DJ style headphones, no preference on Open/closed back. And must at least cover the ear. Something like the ATH-SJ5..... around that size bah.... Also, would prefer a brand that i could order online, i'm over in the uk here....

what i currently have mobo built in soundcard ALC889A (will upgrade to Asus Xonar Xd so please recommend me the best to fit Asus)
- what type of usage (movies/ gaming/ music etc)
  I perfer music & movie as my piority lastly gaming but should not have too large difference.
- source mp3,dvd movies, rmvb, avi & etc
- type of music listen to pop, top hitz, classical, jazz, etc)

Rock, alternative rock, not very heavy rock.

Hi guys, I have a tight budget of Rm 100. Just looking for a headset with a good microphone,and clear sound. Bass is totally out of the question if I wanna stick to Rm100 budget (imho). My budget is fixed,not stretchable unless its a few dollars more. Max Rm 110 I would say. Thanks.
