QUOTE(JustcallmeLarry @ Jun 14 2015, 03:28 PM) Minitures Schnauzers are meant to be kept indoors. Mine is kept indoors. They are prone to heat stroke if left outdoors for a long period of time. I'm surprised you didn't do your research before adopting. That's very irresponsible of you. How old is your schnauzer? Why does he bark? |

QUOTE(JustcallmeLarry @ Jun 14 2015, 03:26 PM) Guys i just got given 1 of this dog. Help me please. My dog is trained to only poo and pee in his toilet. You have to train him. You can't expect him to know where to poo and pee without you showing him. It took me 3 whole weeks to train mine. For the 3 weeks I was cleaning up poo and pee left right centre. You have to be super patient and persistent. Don't punish him. When you see that he is about to pee or poo bring him to the place you want him to pee/poo. And when he poo/pee at that place reward him with a treat. Keep repeating till he gets it. Be patient. It worked for me and I am a first time dog owner.1.Is it ok i keep them outside? I am newbie in this section. I am looking forward to adopt one mini Schnauzer (or someone equivalent) after finding them pretty good companion in the long run. My sister has one and there is where I get to know more about them.
If anyone has one up for adoption, please consider me or PM me. I wont mind go through interview(s). |

Few days ago, my friends found one somehow looks like schnauzer breed female dog with collar at the middle of the road. She was in the rain somemore. So they took her back. However they can't afford to have another dog cause they having one male schnauzer now.
So now I'm adopting she and I'm still waiting if there is anyone claim this dog is theirs. Or else I will take her for full grooming immediately. The owner didn't really take a good care of she I would say. This post has been edited by Woon Ann: Aug 6 2015, 09:17 AM |

QUOTE(JustcallmeLarry @ Jun 14 2015, 03:26 PM) Guys i just got given 1 of this dog. Help me please. It's okay but not recommended as it's damn hot + rain in malaysia. Ticks and dirt is another problem coz of their genetic skin problem. If poo and wee is the problem, i would say the problem comes from you. Basically you need to train them. Just like reanimation_84 said. 1.Is it ok i keep them outside? Bcs i dont want thier poo poo and wee wee all over inside my house? 2. How to train him to stop barking? QUOTE(JustcallmeLarry @ Jun 15 2015, 02:01 AM) Outside but he is fully cover with a roof, 3 wall and a gate. It's like a garage can fit 1 car in there but he has it all to himself.3 month old. Barking at nothing? Only when play with him he will stop, but can't play with him 24/7 bcs got things to do. They don't bark to nothing, there's reason why they bark. Just like baby, they cry for something (sick or sleepy or hungry or ... )Ok thanks for the tips. Yours keep indoor too? Wow lol. Again, train your dog while small. There's alot of online materials to teach you how to train them. Yes my schnauzer is indoor and with me. This is vary from each MS but try to avoid chicken and few others. I can't remember well but not all (even expensive) kibbles are for MS because of the % of fat and proteins. I give my MS TOW salmon, sometimes lamb due to the ratio of fat and proteins and the order of items in the kibbles. QUOTE(Woon Ann @ Aug 27 2015, 03:50 PM) Because not many people love MS? lol |
