I not sure if I can disclose how I ordered it here, but from what I heard, PCH (or Syabas) is opening a retail store in Gurney Plaza soon.

Added on February 8, 2010, 4:32 pmFiguring where can I find a affordable & compatible BDRom in Penang while waiting for my units to arrive.

You can always get Sony BDU-X10S for RM200++
this one confirmed to be compatible based on the C200 compatibility list
unless you want one with faster read speed you can get it from this thread

jlsinbad bought one for his C200 and working so far
(with some patch to make it region free)

some review on c200....

Whilst all this looks amazing on paper, the problems have come from a most unexpected angle. The Sigma / Syabas combination almost invented this whole market so it was a massive surprise when the C-200 was released and the firmware implementation was poor. We suggest you check out the Syabas C-200 forum (link below) but the months since launch have seen an unrelenting stream of software problems. Full HD-Audio is still not working, CD playback is buggy, streaming performance is poor, the user interface is unimpressive, ...the list goes on. As of 16-Dec everyone seems to be looking towards the (no date announced) release of the next Sigma SDK firmware for a solution. This seems likely about March.

Yes I read thru alot of those, the firmware seems like very rushed to the market and thus introducing all sort of bugs. Do hope that this will be solve asap.
I believe on March, there will be new model coming out, similar to C200.

still downloading the latest firmware dated 29/Jan.
1st impression with the stock firmware is BAD.

my 7209 2012 mkv doesnot play (WDTV1 plays flawressly), FLAC dead (Known issue, rectified by latest firmware I think), my paranormal activity 720p plays with no audio thru the stereo RCA connection (testing in my work table, no HDMI TV and no AVR that does decoding) and let's keep my finger cross while downloading the FW, seems forever, bladdy slow connection today.

Anyway, here's a few shots on the current 'set-ups.

Added on February 12, 2010, 4:03 pmupdated to latest firmware, UI looked nicer, performs faster, functionality wise looked the same.

my 2012 now skip when played instead of stucked at 00:00. ehm... my file corrupted? still no sound for all Ac3/DTS downmix sad.gif

Please do a review on the A200 as well, I want to get a player with Sigma chip, but BD1 is too expensive and WDTVLive too simple...A200 fits the bill nicely...I hope
