QUOTE(sliver2c @ Jul 9 2010, 03:48 PM) Please explain this theory of yours, I use a plastic shoe tree for a my C&J in case you are wondering what is C&J its Crockett & jones. oh damn, who is this crockett and jones guy?Plastic shoe tree works fine if you get a proper one of course I would not argue that a wood shoe tree is better. It all balls down to how much you want to spend on a piece of accessory. I don't use shoe trees, I don't even use a shoehorn, I wear all my shoes with my index finger. |

QUOTE(beau @ Jul 21 2010, 02:53 AM) With due respect if one wishes to prolong the life of the shoe, one should try to rotate the use of the shoe by not wearing the same pair for more than 2 days in a row. Using the shoe trees when the shoe is not being worn would also help prolong their shape. He's just bitter |

QUOTE(Maverick @ Jul 23 2010, 12:19 AM) i have to say that i have shallow knowledge on shoes, well today i just bought a pair of "dunno what" shoes, and it happened to meet my all my requirement (i really meant it when i said it met all the criteria i have in my mind", i always wanted a brown and with the specific pattern which desired, unfortunately due to the problem i have with my toe, i hardly wear heel shoes, so the prerably would be flat base.... It can go with most pants, just not cargos and baggy jeans.Problem now is, i really need to ask all the gurus here, which type of pants to suit this shoes? and a little information bout this shoes to be taught also a great help to me...can't google up any information by itself... giancarlo nori is the name QUOTE(gshen @ Jul 23 2010, 01:05 AM) IMO, Vass provides the best price-quality ratio there is in the market, esp. now with the hungarian forint in the shits...Good thing that the F last also happens to be my absolute favourite last. Very nice!I've built a pretty good rotation of cheap-ish shoes off SF, eBay and outlets, and hope to replace them slowly with only Vass. Hopefully the forint stays shit. LV shoes are not considered high end, in fact pretty low end for big timers.
The higher price doesn't mean better shoes especially for RTW This post has been edited by Cheenoo: Sep 28 2010, 11:59 AM |

QUOTE(beau @ Oct 27 2010, 09:00 AM) Good buy- what make are they? You may wish to "antique " the shoes. It will give it a nice patina & character ( see some previous postings here ) Most women here don't know how to appreciate such fine shoes. But I will look at your shoes! Women will look at your shoes!! BonViv, is that This post has been edited by Cheenoo: Oct 27 2010, 10:39 PM |

QUOTE(BikerVoodoo @ May 21 2010, 06:49 AM) Hmm what's your budget? For RM119.90 you can get Goodyear-welted, corrected grain Oxford brogues at Kulitkraf. OLG1010 I think. I posted this earlier but BOHICA - How about these? These are a quite chunky though, and they are abit too wide for my feet. They have a slimmer last (toe shape) with the same design, OLG760 (IIRC). But they were out of my size and the SA told me they have been discontinued due to customer complaints of it being painful (don't think they fully grasp the concept of breaking in leather shoes).![]() Added on December 28, 2010, 1:30 pm QUOTE(silverstan @ Dec 28 2010, 11:51 AM) yesterday went to shopping mall and tried to put on some florshiem Imperial models. very comfortable and the build quality is good. Florsheim are having sales right now. Are there no discounts on the Imperial line? But price is almost 100 bucks extra than the price listed in their website. Next Feb will go to Singapore, will check for other brands. Any recommended places to visit? This post has been edited by Cheenoo: Dec 28 2010, 01:30 PM |
