im looking for a brand that range rm300 below. preferred oxford design. mind to suggest?

afaik, it's almost impossible to get a decent oxford at rm300. Clarks' oxfords are quite close. Marks & Spencer.

Yes. I had my doubts, because 130 GBP shoes cannot be that great.

At least it was 130 GBP, and its a upgrade from my shitty Geox shoes. I will ditch them
as soon as the Alden arrives.

There's no turning back now. Its a Vass next, after Alden + herring, so that I
can have a rotation going.

In brown I hope!

You can just slide it off, the buckles are fixed to elastic bands.

monks/double monks are slip-ons.

there could possibly be a situation where one would want to unbuckle them before removal, such as when there are people waiting for you.

I hope you guys are not trolling me. I was genuinely curious. =/

I would say design contributed more. You don't want to see a man in suit with nice leather shoes wearing a plastic sport watch, right?
For me, i have different type of watches, depend on what occasion, what outfit then i will choose which watch to wear.
leather strap (black, brown), small dial, big dial, round dial, square dial or metal bracelet.

So, I have a pair of black AE park avenues that i wear with suits and business casual attire. They're decently shiny right now, but i'm thinking of going all out and bulling them to a mirror shine. Do you guys think that'll look tacky?
*
Nothing wrong with shiny black shoes. In fact I think it's the only way black shoes can look good.

But can you achieve the mirror shine? =P

I was just curious which shoes were on sale. Anyway, the price mark up of Florsheim in msia is crazy.

speaking of smell fetishes, my weakness is leather and shoe polish.

It looks like what everyone else wears. You don't have to worry about good shoes attracting unwanted attention. Only people who appreciate good shoes/things will notice, and that's always a plus.

But then again, good shoes by this thread's standards don't come cheap. You have to be ready to spend at least ~700 for decent ones.

In this thread we don't talk about boat shoes or moccs unless they have hard leather soles..
