Well, looking at the Rockport.. its probably wear until sole botak, then throw. Plal GYW choices can be re-build, so there is that premium you are paying for.

Frankly speaking, its a good idea to own a Rockport for rainy days, since we are in a tropical country that rains often. I used to wear Hush Puppies, Obermain, Dr.Martens (a bit loud to be formal office shoes), and now Rockport and Clarks. The Obermain was also quite comfortable, so is the Rockport. But in terms of leather suppleness, Rockport tops them all.

I visited Cole Haan @ KLCC a while ago, the prices are ridiculous - RM1300 for brogues with the lunar sole.

Cole Haan is pricy, online for under rm 500 still too pricy
My most expensive cole haan is like usd$70 or rm250.
My 1st 2 pairs was like rm140 each.
One only lasted 1 yr of daily wear.

For 500+ rm I would have gotten Allen edmonds
