From what I read, any kind of add-on can undesirably effect the construction. I got this info from Loake site.
You got the timberland from timberland outlet in Malaysia? because I actually got it cheaper from Parkson, 1-Utama than their timberland outlet at 1-utama.

No brand want to promote 3rd party addon as OEM cannot make $! The refurbish cost is a lot of $.

I get my things in states.

Price around rm1.2k including cedar trees and vibram halfsole.

After wearing a pair of good quality goodyear welted English made shoes, there is simply no going back.

What i wanna clear the misconception here is that wearing boots or leather shoes in Malaysia=hot n sweaty feet.

This is only true if ya wear synthetic material made shoes n boots which traps moisture and sweat inside making it hot and uncomfortable and smelly.

By wearing a good quality FULLY leather(natural material)  welted shoes , the difference is night and day.

It breathes, absorbs sweat and molds to your feet through wear. My feet feels cool and dry throughout the day.

A good pair of welted shoes are pretty stiff and uncomfortable for the first few wears. They require a breaking in period.
For the uninitiated this can be a painful process. As most ppl are used to buying shoes which are comfortable right outta the box but gets crappy after a few months as the sponge, cushioning  and structure disintegrates. A good pair of welted leather shoes are stiff and uncomfortable when new, but it gets more and more comfortable with wear and looks better with age with patinas. Its like fine wine. Personally i just LOVE the break in process. Its like raw denim, the more we wear the better it gets. Totally awesome.

Below is my tip to help ease the process and make your shoes last longer.

Condition and polish your new shoes b4 wear to soften, replace oils and protect the leather as your shoes could be sitting on the shelf of the store for months b4 u bring it home. This will greatly extend its life. Dun forget to oil the soles and welt to prevent moisture from entering.

Wear it for no more then 10mins at home first. then slowly increase by 10min intervals. Till ya can wear it for 2 hours straight with no pain b4 wearing out. This will give the shoes time to mold n conform to your feet and to prevent painful blisters from happening.

After wearing, insert the shoe trees and let the shoes rest for at least 24 hours. This is because leather absorbs moisture from your feet. It needs time to release these moisture after wear. If ya constantly wear your shoes non-stop, the shoes will hav no chance of drying out completely, It will be damp and moist. Perfect breeding ground for baterias and mold to grow.
I can sum up 4 benefits of wearing a good quality pair of shoes

1. Better posture and health.

2. Good shoes make u feel like a million bucks

3. Cost saving in Long run

4. women/ men will stare at your shoes. And i mean constantly. And get loads of compliments too from chicks!

Sorry for the long post , hope this will help cheers .

How do you guys take good care of these kind of shoes? The color starts to season already and is there any ways I can do
to make its appearance look better?

You cant polish these kind of shoes right? Shop owner recommend me to buy some spray at the supermarket and I have no idea what brand or how does it looks like.

Also the soles there started to crack. Signs of overused? Just buy another soles?

For the same money (or top up a little bit more) , you can get a UK/European made , higher quality leather , classic timeless design & a much more respectable brand. Loake 1880 , Allen Edmonds , Bexley shoes to name a few. Price range are RM400-RM900.
*
Buying Loake 1880 so cheap? Rm400?
Allen edmonds are in the rm800 and up if u count shipping it will cost more as it's crazy high. U can only get cheap factory seconds in USA for like usd$150-200 a pair.

There was once (i was very very lucky) , it was Herrings shoe sale i managed to grab a Loake 1880 at 79pounds.
As for AE , just ebay it there are plenty of sellers selling it 130-150USD.
*
Sale don't say. On a avg day may not find such good deals.
On a good day I can get a Italian at ~100rm
Even with eBay AE most are above. 150 and up not really in that range if u look at buy it now. Bidding hard to est, those non GY ones are cheaper and often not made in USA.

Try searching for Johnston and Murphy on Styleforum and you will notice that it is not SF-approved.
*
SF typically only approve shoes that cost ~usd$300 on avg (retail) and up. Even AE is like marginal on SF.

Pay peanuts what to expect.
Of don't want to spend a lot what to expect.
It boils down to $$ one wanna spend.
Some ppl like to wear new shoe every 2 yrs no pt buying expensive shoe. Other wear it rough why pay usd$500 to get it all scratch up. It's not like one don't have spend the time and effort to keep it well maintained.

Meermin is a Spanish shoemaker - http://www.meermin.es/

*
True but other than MTO shoe they are made in China and finish in Spain.
I wonder what it meant by finish...
If u go by SF ppl like meermin for their design.
I have to say European design is better than American

What's the vat reduction? 21%
I like the boots, full rubber sole.. Getting new soles hmm

I will use a little darker shade of color (shoe cream) and polish it. With time u can turn it around, I have similar experience.

Worst case follow the example below.

The world is getting smaller , just travel overseas and get it done there.
I see all the KLM , Qatar having promo to Paris/UK for less than 3k.
In the next 5-10 years everybody will make that trip one lah.

Anyway , i don't think many GYW wearers has the "raved that it is superior" attitude.
Many people are pretty discreet about it.
*
How quick or fast are those service?
Just ship it there and get it done.

Prices may turn around and go up again to fly.
Buying a premium product may it be shoe, watch , car must have the $$ to service.

I visited Cole Haan at Pavilion...lunargrands start from RM 1200. I tried them on, and bought them........in the US and online for less than RM 500. Best shoes ever, 5 pairs already now and still not enough. So comfy and light akin to walking on air.
*
Cole Haan is pricy, online for under rm 500 still too pricy
My most expensive cole haan is like usd$70 or rm250.
My 1st 2 pairs was like rm140 each.
One only lasted 1 yr of daily wear.

For 500+ rm I would have gotten Allen edmonds
