yup, what we can do is to tighten d timing, but as u mentioned b4, it's pointless to go too high in MHz, tight timin would be more beneficial... big toe a.k.a tony @ bleeding age knows d best...
Precisely, but I also can't yet understand why we cant go more that 1800mhz??? It looks like the whole architecture isn't supportive enough, be it the mobo and the CPU...
dah dah... those are advance cny ang pows for u both...
some more they are cheap, like shoppin @ jalan pasar only so no big deal bros...
my heart is tellin to go for a 790fx board but my head say better keep d $$$ for 890fx board. any advice guys...
big sacrifice needed for d 790fx board, it's like tradin a 790gx a3+ & 0922APMW for d board, not so worth it... but i firmly believe d geil ram + my current chip can go a 'lil bit further... argghhh...
haha...this thread has become discussion btw u4/u5 ppl only~~ i always drop by and expect higher clocks from ah_khoo mostly... @ah_khoo what's your load temp for B50 @4.0?
Thats because either other AMD users are running their machine stock 'slowly' or use manufacturer software based overclocking to play2...
awesome ram, too bad it's not so convenient for me to grab them, else i can buy 2 pairs of that instead of one pair of geil...
I was lucky to find em...actually gonna settle with the 'crappy' Corsair's 2GB kit, but was destined to meet with a pair of 2GB D9KPV modules...nyummy...
Tried unlock L3 Cache? Try unlock 1st.Maybe i would assume high VCore above 1.47/1.5V..Depends on processor.
Hehehe...The way I determine high is by looking at the change of color in the vcore options value...If red than it means 'high', if not I will assume that it is still acceptable...
By the way, I was trying to upload this;

awesome, yup. but have to return tomorrow. the am2 bracket is worst. it cannot tight to the mobo so will "goyang" left-right and up-down(this is the worst). so it will not balance. another issue is, this thing is a metal plate, it might scratch ur mobo if incorrect install.
Why so hassle with this Prolimatech cooler???
Izzit because the last minute think of fitting the cooler to AMD socket??? Look at the box also no AMD compatibility printed...like obvious this is a no-no for AMD...
