so far how high u can go w ya new board (prime stable)? a busy weekend mean not much time for me to tweak... hopefully i can break my personal record by this week, sacrificin some nb + ram freq is a must it seems... sad.gif

erm... they're pro while i'm not bro, perhaps more readin will help but highest nb + ram freq are @ 23xx & 700 cas 7 at d moment respectively. if runnin 'em @ 25xx @ 8xx, insane voltage needed + not able to prime stable. i'm goin for highest prime stable clock 1st b4 proceedin to 3d benches. after all is done, it's time to offload 'em. gettin a house is not so easy after all... sad.gif

is win 7 memory hungry like vista too? or 2GB ram is sufficient enuf? i'm plannin for life after retirement. thinkin of gettin a cheap ddr2 board + a decent x2 for myself should d 790fxt + 550be can fetch a gud price. smile.gif

ermm... still tryin bro, tried htt @ 282 this morning in order to get 1500 @ cas 6, stuck at post... will clear cmos tonite... tongue.gif

tight timing can only be done usin lower ram divider like 1066 @ 1333 with d former yields better mileage (@ cas 6). ddr1666 divider is as good as nothing to me as it can't even get d ram to post @ cas 7. it's gettin more & more interestin (ram tweakin)... too bad d parts will go soon, else it'll keep me busy for weeks. sad.gif

sepatutnya 3.2GHz bukan masalah besar untuk 7850 sebab saudara pakai mobo ganas macam asus, board rog (board kelas tertinggi) lagi tu... faktor2 yg mungkin menyebabkan ketidakstabilan ialah:

1. suhu cpu yg terlalu tinggi
2. suhu nb yg terlalu tinggi
3. ram, sama ada timing terlalu ketat ataupun frequency terlalu tinggi
4. frequency nb/ht link yg terlalu tinggi

sila bekalkan screenshot (my vocab in bm really doh.gif nowadays) yg mengandungi maklumat2 berikut:

cpu-z > tab cpu dan tab timing memory
hwmonitor > maklumat2 tentang voltage & suhu untuk cpu & komponen2 lain... tongue.gif

phew.... my primary school bm teacher must be proud of my bm... laugh.gif

7750 & 7850 should not have any problem hittin 3.1GHz imo, something must be wrong coz 7750 mostly capped @ 3.2GHz, above that it requires lotsa volt in order to get stable... sweat.gif

these were my attempts, i thought i was bein unlucky coz initially i targeted 3.4GHz, but sadly 3.3GHz was d highest i managed & it's not suitable for 24/7... sad.gif

790fx is hotter if compared to 790gx. did u actively cool ya nb cooler? 790fxb has weird placement of nb... kinda hard to find a 3rd party nb cooler for it... sad.gif
