not so sure until i test it 2nite... got green light from d x4 620 buyer to test d chip, hopefully d chip will do well. steady buyer deserve gud stuffs...

exact volt for 3.7GHz sis? lets have a small challenge, we try to beat THIS w/ our new boards (u mite already broke that)... 1st time to own a gigitbite board, feelin a 'lil awkward to be honest...

aod version. is that d latest one? i doubt it's becoz of bios issue, more like compatibility issue of aod.

bro, it's been 2 weeks my pc was abandoned due to sf4, i forget how to tweak ledi... need to start from scratch...

me start tonite w/ d x4 620, no 3.7GHz for sure...

nowadays ami is gettin more & more like award, especially msi ami bios iirc... copycat...

try to uninstall & delete d aod folder in program files after uninstallation, reboot & finally install d latest version. 790fxb (ddr2) works great w/ aod during my time...

u can always prime it to test whether it's stable or not @ 1.296v, if it's @ stock clock i dun see d reason why it can't stable unless u have a very crappy chip there...

bein sold slightly above RM340 (brand new), not bad coz i get d permission from d buyer to test d chip...

i wish i can challenge bro -pWs-'s X4 @ 3.8GHz w/ 1.424v only but i know myself that would be a tough record to break. he did that w/ x2 550 & biostar 790gx a3+, some more that was his 1st am3 attempt iirc...

d layout is perfect for cf + pci-e sound card setup. sc at top most followed by d old 3850s. no extra 4 pins power needed too...

wtf... acpi thingy again... no win vista installation cd so can't do installation/repair....

to be honest, gigabyte bios still not as detailed as dfi... no controll over pci-e lanes...

after this i should revert back to non raid setup once & for all, kill joy only...

sorry for ffk'in u guys, d 620 has been sold, no time to test as i just get my board booted up lastnite. farkin i/o issue, end up brought it to distro, they reflashed d bios & finally i managed to install vista. didn't have much time to tweak as i was still busy w/ windows + programs installation. 1st impression was ok, did as gud as d biostar 790gx a3+. will continue tonite...

one problem solved but found another, my xonar sc can't be detected by devmgr but when i click d driver's setup.exe it says no sc detected...

what a problematic week...

biostar 790gx a3+ loh... very gud board for its price... only flaw is d master pci-e slot position, d rest no complaint...

ram wise u aint need high performance like highly binned ram, get those lower binned but @ tighter timing will do...

sadly, it was sold @ rock bottom price... doesn't deserve that but market is bad... not much ppl want biobintang here... all favor branded brand like a$u$...

just d biostar 790gx a3+ & d x4 620 lah sis... i've been here for so long ledi, x sampai hati nak abandon u guys mah...

btw, any progress for d 3.7GHz challenge? i'll give it a shot tonite, if 3.7GHz can be prime stable w/ 1.35v on this board, i'm positive that 3.8xGHz prime stable is doable @ < 1.48v. i'm luv'in it > easytune of gigabyte...

3.8GHz shouldn't be a problem, d thing is how to make it require less volt... need to ask sensei -pWs- as he's d only one (those that i know) who did 3.8GHz prima stable w/ 1.424v only....

ram tweakin on this board is harder than i thought... i'm just too noob for those alpha timings setting... or, get too used to biobintang ami bios...

havin hiccups on gettin d ram to run @ 8xx on cas7, gonna take me sometimes to figure it out what went wrong...

bro, iirc nb freq is adjustble on some models of asus board if coupled w/ correct version of aod... that's one of d advantage they had over other manufacturers...

nb freq = nb multiplier * htt, vimc = cpu-nb vid or nb vid
