I've no idea Y you're facing that issue cause I've tried and phone calls + SMS still works even when I'm on Internet Tethering. @rip_code, Go get the Unlimited Use data lah! |

@jimmylim85,
New contacts are stored in the phone. @ASAP, If you use other SIM cards to test the phone and if it works that means it's not the fault of the iPhone. If you asked me, your problem is not solved - so give it a test and see if it works. @gkwee88, Check out the other thread and follow instructions on how to create your own iTunes account. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/998251 @danni_boy, I believe it's a network issue. I've been having similar issues on Maxis the last few days. This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Oct 12 2009, 08:55 PM |

@sugen,
Did the settings just disappear over night? Hmm... the settings will disappear if you update Network Settings [via iTunes download] but that is only for Maxis users. Were u previously NOT using Maxis? |

@hianboy,
Go make the report to Maxis to get a replacement unit. However, you will have to once again queue in line until the next batch of phone becomes available |

@HellJoker,
If you're on the Maxis network and using a Maxis set without jailbreaking, U shouldn't have to tweak your phone to enable it to use data services (3G/EDGE/GPRS/HSDPA). Could it be the location you are at isn't 3G supported? |

@HellJoker,
3G and EDGE are both data services except 3G is faster. Have you checked out the other thread to see if it could be because you need to create a profile for Maxis? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/868281 |

@HellJoker,
If I ain't mistaken there's a separate one for Hotlink users - can u check back the thread to reconfirm? If not, then just go back to Maxis |

@Coconut,
On the new computer, go to iTunes --> Advanced to give authorisation to this new computer and voila everything will be re-synced as per your earlier iTunes account @voodoo8808, On a non-JB iPhone, when the phone goes to sleep, everything turns off, just like when you put a computer to sleep. It's not a bug, it's been like this ever since I started using the i3G. |

@acid_head,
You do a manual network reset on your iPhone. Go to Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings |

@Collomack,
Try to switch off and switch on ur phone. @12321, You aren't on Maxis, are U? And what FW are u using? @th3_glove20, There's an IM discussion or App discussion on this thread - please visit that thread for information and discussion on IMs. @voodoo8808, What'd u mean by when plugged in? AFAIK as long as the phone is asleep, everything is turned off; whether it's plugged into a power source supply unit or not. |

Yes of course it's safe; otherwise Apple won't provide us with it |

@12321,
It's definitely weird because Internet Tethering shouldn't affect Maxis users; I heard about it being disabled on non Maxis sets but this is my 1st time I'm hearing it on a Maxis unit. Perhaps U can reboot ur phone and see if it magically reappears @voodoo8808, So are U saying that when your screen goes into 'energy saving' mode [and ur system is not in sleep mode] ur wifi turns off? Hmm... now that doesn't happen on my end; but my phone goes into sleep mode soon after the screen turns black so maybe I just haven't noticed? *shrugs* |

@Kyno,
Have you checked if your settings are right? Also, sometimes it is not the problem of the phone but the telco network. |

@SheepMekk,
Apologies, missed your question above. Just sync and do a back up from iTunes should be good enough |
