i use very small gravel that i can buy from the LFS or i dig around my area such as in the picture for one of my false bottom setup. but the rest are usually potting soil. rock flakes anyone. false bottom are very nice but they do make the enclosure heavier but i like them in a way that there is a ready supply of moisture under the substrate in case u are busy or forgot to mist the enclosures.

i tried ur pond setup before fallenangel and it look good at first then the whole enclosure got flooded once the coco fiber starts to adsorb the water.
seeing my scorpions walking high because of water is a funny sight.

i'm using a false bottom guppy tank.
just put small gravel at the bottom, coco peat/potting soil on top.
pour water, and put in the scorps.
i use guppy tank for my 3 instars spinifers.

perpetual motion. that cant be done since the laws of physics dictates that all energy cannot be destroy but can be turn into another form of energy.
unless u can find ways of harnessing the power of gravity like pendulums in a clock or the sun power using solar panels then u can get "free energy".
the easiest way i can see for getting "free energy" is a combination of a few items such as below
a few car batteries a dynamo stationary bike a willing cyclist
hook the dynamo to the stationary bike, strap a cyclist to the bike, run the wires to a battery charger then hook the batteries up.
cycle to charge the batteries, use batteries to power pump. repeat.
instant success.

rideon, tamiya motors uses 1.5volts of current.
if u have a multimeter u can check how much current is generated by those solar cells in calculators. because ur idea of using gravity is great but there is one element that u need to take into consideration which is energy that is lost in a single work cycle. to put it easily
100% of power - 2% of power loss(friction etc, etc) = 98% of power left for work per workcycle.
this continues every work cycle and u will be left with not enough power to do any work anymore. so in order to top up that loss 2% u need external power source.

happy chinese new year everybody.
evansoon the word u are searching for the body allergic reaction to scorpion venom is anaphalectic shock..
this reaction is often deadly if not treated. there have been cases of a human being stung by a single bee and dying in 5 minutes due to the severe reaction.
the treachea basicly swells up and causes asphyxsia. this is usually the cause of death.

oi ryo u nikon fella why go help canon guy.
jkjk. hahahaha.
for those who are or planning to move from normal pns to dslr here is the reality.
it can be tougher to get good shots if u dont understand the dslr. arperture,f number, shutter speed,i-ttl, lens working distance, etc etc etc.
but dont give up since if u do then u will not learn the power of the dslr.
take as many pictures as u can and dont limit urselfs to macro only. try taking or emulating pictures that u see in magazines, websites or any that is of ur interest.
when u understand the basic of dslr then u are good to go.
hope this helps.

more holes and still dying???
looks like u have a different matter in ur hands now.
try changing the substrate with the substrate that it was born in the mothers subs. thisis just a theory, u have the right to reject this theory.
