parthogenesis and bisexual mating each have their own weakness and strengths.

i believe(this is not a confirm data, just a hypothesis) that pathogenesis species carry all the genes in them yet the genes are only activated when a certain condition or situation demand that particular genes characteristic. such as a scorpion that is introduce in a drier climate then it use too will cause the gene that are responsible for water retention to be activated in the next offspring brood. it may take a couple off broods or generations but i do believe this process is possible.

what is confirm is bisexual species will also display this trait of gene activations but not from a single mother but as a combination of genes from various partners and generations. it is a more difficult and long process but the effects of gene activation is more easily seen in bisexual species. hence the lovely genetic chart that Kar has provided us above is in use. for bisexual species it is possible to control certain traits that we need or want. but for pathogenesis species it is almost impossible and will happen naturally.

i hope i didn't add more confusion.

ok picture time.just to cool of the most interesting discussion i have seen in scorp thread.

my newly accuired scorp.(my friend gave it to me). i cant say it is longi or spinifer. here is why:

user posted image on the left is the scorpion,on the right is a preserved spinifer. see how they resemble one another.

user posted image

this is a side by side comparisson of the padipalps. again they look very similiar.

user posted imagegranulation pic

user posted image full body picture.

this is a wc. my friend saw it walking across the road while driving and caught it and gave it to me. so nay takers on the id.

longimanus i would have to saw my forst choice since they are normally found around my area.

spinifers i cannot say because is there any records of h.spinifer in sarawak natively.

on to my other scorpion thank you to Ryo. the c.gerthschi. very nice and very small.

user posted image
male. long long tail.

user posted image
female. fat,fat(gravid maybe)

how small are they?? both can fit in a single egg crate cell with room to spare. that is how small they are.

ok. happy reading and have a nice day.

glad to see ur up and running ryo.

btw, the red claw could use some flood season feel.since it was feeling very dry for a long time.

a nice damp sub will do wonders.

i am currently involve in evil experiments with scorpions. especially forest types.

the data has been good so far. will share it when the test are done and my scorpions have finish suffering.

well then it is confirm then that communals are faster growers then isolated splings.

while we can only speculate the reason why this happen it may be attributed to the fact of safety.

the splings feels they are safe with the mum and grows much faster without feeling stress which is the opposite of the isolated splings which have to fend for themselve thus making them grow slower then the communal splings.

but this is just my point of view. so dont believe it 100%.

it's just a hypothesis.
