To be frank.. i do not recommend you changing the sub to sand. As AFS are not desert type scorpion. The best way for you to get rid of those mites/springtails are to change your substrate. As Ryo have stated. Exoreptile's scorps are wild caught. So there will be mites and others on them. But dont worry to much
As for the communal set up, it is ok for them to live together. I have communal set up once and i have no major problem with them. Just make sure you have enough hiding places for them and frequent food source for each scorpion.
Take out the uneaten food and the leftovers so that you can control the mites problem.

damn... seems more people got more scorps... n ryo.. tose L.m are niceyyyyyyy... i ave been dead for some time now as my idiotic computer decide to go out on me.. so trying to fix my darn computer... while that i can only reply at work.. tupid... well its nice that the thread is alive n kicking... n by the way i have some ideas on the exhibition so.. i'll hold on to that till my darn computer is feeling well again...lol...and Lester.. thanks...
