oh man.. he should hav wait till the babies climb down from the mother's back then you can remove them.. coz they already 2instar then there is a possibility they will make it through but having he removed them before it climb down on it own then that my friend is not good.
But thats just me. as for the opened top.. ask im to place something heavy on the tank.. but make sure there are gap so that the scorp can breath. Or get those garden wires and make a lid for ur self. I did that wen i started the hobby.

if he does letting those emperors go.. then im willingly to take them all. But as for the enclosure like Ryo has said, he need to research more if nt drag him to read the 1st page. The drift wood are all ok.. but the substrate is a no no...

its not easy to find Emperors on sale.. yet alone a captive breed one. This is very valuable but at the same time playing with lives. Those babies deserve a better quality of live same with the mother. So if can give them a nice comfortable are for them to live in. Dont treat them as a thing. Pets are Pets, and we love them, so treat like one..

You could try with one or two babies and see wut happen..

talking about babies.. my AFS babies hav all molted to 5th instar.. and still leaving peacefully with mommy.. grow fast also...

the early separated one which is the 1st brood have not molt to 3i.. still fat.. but to no end.. the rest with mom on the 2nd brood hav molted to 5i.. and yet i have not separate any of them.. apart form the 2 that i sold last time.. and they all living peacefully.. no canibalism.. one group stays with mum the other made their own burrow under a wood. But the mother still kills and feed the babies.. evn to one extend this morning she killed it left it there and the babies rush out to eat it.. one got hold and the others just rush in and all hell broke loose. one prey item with 20scorpling eating it.. funny to watch them though

like i calculate the temperature.. lol.. but i leave the environment like with the rest of the forest sp.. Thy hav been for about 5months give n take.. ur nt the only one whos surprised.. it was supposed to b an experiment but it seems way off now.. it should have molt to 3i or even 4i by now.. but yet they still remain 2i.. feed them, mist them, supply with water.. bt yet they refuse to molt..

sad to say that mum died.. long ago after they turn 2i.. old age is my prediction.. Send to Lester is a good idea.. these babies will b 7i in no time.. lol

nop.. the one with their mother is the second brood 3weeks after the 1st one gave birth.. technically i should have 3 broods but as u would know.. the 1st one eat all of the babies, the second mum died but the babies survived and most were sold and gave away, and now the 3rd living with mum growing fast... wanted to separate them.. but want to see how far they can live together b4 canibalism happen..
