Well all my (99% of them) AFS babies have molted to 3rd instar only 1 still small.. and apart from the 1st brood that still havent molted to 3rd... Should take a round 2-4 weeks again to see them molt to 4i unless power feed them.. and after that its time to fly the coop.. Dont want them to b to manja with mommy... lol
And one of them stung me while trying to pick them up.. numbness for few mins.. although they small but still pick a punch... Here some update pic of them lot... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Hmmm.. just saw 2 belalang kunyit today.. n that spark n idea... but i dont think we can actually breed them for feeding purpose can we.. I know that these creatures do grow fairly fast almost the same as crix but larger in size... |

Oh ok... i suggest u get 2 tubes. one black light and another one red light. Red light u can turn on longer.. It will look awesome.. Ur tank already really nice with all those setups.. Wish i had some of those bark/wood lying around here so i can deco my communal tank up.. darn it.. So 2 thumbs up from me bro.. cant wait to see more pics from u wen u attach those lights on

thats cool. if i were you i would really think it many times before starting. Coz u will need to modify the tank.. Like me i have several tanks to be modified and if i dont like the size i just make my own after drawing the designs out.
My setup havent gone smoothly just yet. Coz im thinking of how to create a water supply for the adult and babies at the same time without the babies drowning in it. As you may have know, i left the 3i babies with mom so rite now i have a lousy chocolate lid as its water bowl and was planning to make something like a lake with shallow depth for the babies to go and have some sip. So im planning to make like a two 1 way area where there is a deep end and a shallow end. The shallow one will have tons of rocks so the babies can just walk on them without having the fear of drowning and the deep end is just a reservoir for the water supply. Nk senang gune one of those mini waterfall thing but then again i will b using electricity which is not in my designs. If there is a way without using any electricity to pump the water up trough a tube or somewut to make a similar effect. So.. im still researching.. using the gravitational force to my advantage.. but rite now its all in papers... |

I have a small pump coz my dad bought me a mini water fountain.
Its nice to use it but it uses alot of electricity in term of time la.. Long hours, days, weeks turned on then ur electricity bills... plus i have to pay my share of the bills.. darn it.. So thats get me going with a non electricity powered water pump.. Having an idea on using weights that pump the water up, then came across the water wheel but then in order to use that technology i need a constant flow of water into it.. thats a prob for me.. coz u need to pump the water up.. So now it draws me to using gears and that leads me yet again to my old hobby.. Tamiyas.. kno those car powered batteries we used to play when we were little. I could use the engine to pump up the water but then again it uses batteries.. u will need constant change of batteries is u are turning it on the whole day... So yes.. im still thinking and researching on the best ideal way to pump up water without using any electricity.. Some may say y should i spent all the time on this little yet futile project.. but for me... its a hobby and a way for me to think new ideas and challenge my self... So if u have any ideas do let me know. could be handy.. U know me.. i like DIY-ing |

I just got the most best of my design ever yet.. Perpetual Motion is the KEY!!!
infinite energy and renewal by using its energy to make the energy that is loss.. Very confusing isnt it.. But its the KEY!!! Now will think of an idea.. It will basically b a wheel but it will pump water from the reservoir up and pour down on the wheel and it will continue till i die.. lol.. am so excited now... put my thinking caps on... buaahahahahahha |

@fallenangel.. i dont know wut ur trying to say...
Ok.. my idea is using the gravitational pull to my advantage. A little help from few magnets it will surely work. Even today i was like a zombie thinking ways on how to pump the water up from the reservoir. Simple. using a water wheel. But with coil of tube strap to the wheel so that the pressure is built each time more water is being filled in the tube, THUS!!! pushing the water slowly upwards. The magnets are there for to make the wheel move faster/constant. So the enery is being used again and again and hopefully it will never stop unless someone put a break on it.. Well thats my idea..... |
