Found the problem. It is the idiot YPAO. YPAO set the front speaker to large and lower the SW to low hz. Because large speaker can produce lower hz. So YPAO put all the low hz to the front speaker and lower the SW trigger. That's why SW keep zzzz..

After set the speaker to small for the front, YPAO high up the low hz for SW. Now the SW easlly wakeup from zzz...

The same thing happened to me during my initial setup of the V473. Used YPAO - it set the front speakers to large, SW to none. Kept me up all night, squatting near the SW trying to listen to low bass, nothing at all, till i changed the setting to small front speakers.

I use the Ultimate Tests to check the 'viability' of my SW Others tests are quite fun too.

I don't think i have audiophile ears. But i do detect a big difference in sound quality when i initially checked out a samsung HT-in-a-box, and compared it to my current setup. Thank goodness i did some research and auditioning, and paid more for the current setup. It is worth every penny.

My 673 + sw315 sub + psb c4, c5 already cost me 5200.    And it is not surround.

I did planned to go jalan pasar and i told the sales rep about this. He commented that all the cables in jalan pasar are from China and is lower quality. Therefore I hope to get the sharing of experience from you guys (pioneer of Yamaha Home Theater System) if it is ok to get from jalan pasar.

Actually in real life using, most of this network/wifi thinky is rarely using. I try like airplay and network play on the 673. The music quality is bad. Till I don't bother to use it.

Haha. I'm serious looking at the v375 just to add some punch to the sound from my htpc. Or should I get the v475 so I stream Internet radio and play music from my htpc?

How much you are letting go your v673? Can it do passthrough hdmi to tv without turning on the amplifier?  Sonetimes I just want to watch tv without the amp.

the speaker wires should be fine cause the av receiver has been at the same place for more than 3 months. haaaiizzz... dunno why suddenly this happen... if no choice have to send to Harvey Norman cause it seems that Yamaha KJ only opens on weekdays....

anyway, i notice some of you buy from HN. is this a good idea, i mean if we buy from local shop, at least they help to set up and put up the rear speaker and tune for you right?

I got the answer myself. PB210 is no longer produce. So I'm going for PB160. Harvey Norman doesn't sold separate, so have to source from Yamaha.

The FM connector, since I used the roof antenna, I have to buy several connectors/converters from Ace Hardware to fit in.

Another thing, the Spotify feature in this AVR is superb. Can stream very high quality and unlimited songs, the sound quality produced by the RXV is unbelievably good.
