Brought it yesterday this AVR 673 for RM1900 and woofer YST-sw315 for RM1040. The woofer can get it as low as RM990 but cherish color. Black cost higher.
After check around, legend ss2 is the cheapest. There have stock but limited. I quickly grab it before run out of stock. If you guys want it fast, go to Legend ss2. New stock only avaible after CNY or further date. Want the saleman contact to check stock before go, PM me. Don't want promote for them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Will pair it with this JBL speaker set. Which my friend give it to me. ![]() This post has been edited by ozak: Jan 20 2013, 11:57 AM |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jan 21 2013, 07:30 PM) HN price is like cow and pig slaughtering price....was looking at the YSP-2200 last week there...price was RM36xx ....Desa HT only RM2999...automatically quote me RM 2.8K when asked.. I try to give them some sale. But still cannot give me the best price. I honestly tell them i can get the 673 at rm1900. If HN can match this price, I will get it. So I just audition in HN and get it from others. This is not the first time. Sigh..Anyway, i might be looking for a new receiver...budget should not exceed 2K (but the cheaper the better). The V 473 looks like good choice...RM 1.3K?? Is there an entrey level V 373 model? This one won What HIFI award wor... Currently using RXV - 520...got some problems, probably will buy a new one if not fixable. I am very satisfied with my RXV-520....this RXV-373 seems to be more than adequate. I don't need so much power...even the 520 i only set max 35% of the volume most of the time...( http://my.yamaha.com/en/products/audio-vis...3_g/?mode=model Can get for RM 1K or thereabouts?? Or this model not selling anymore?? The saleman in yamaha kelana told me that don't get the entry 1. Example entry level is 373. Than get the 473. Don't remember why. |

QUOTE(weikee @ Jan 21 2013, 07:37 PM) I bought my set from citta mall HN, they give me good discount. I don't think is the lowest in town, but is good, and since I audit and test many difference seeing and few brand there, feel obligated to by from them. Hei, your SW is 315 right? How you place your SW? rev or normal setting? freq cut off? I cannot get an optimise position and bass. When I put it in stanby mode low/high. the AVR cannot wake it up. Always in red light. |

QUOTE(Mickey C @ Jan 21 2013, 08:56 PM) RXV673, very good buy.. I like this amp, but Yamaha V series receiver, power cord connected with the receiver. Small matter lah. If want extend the cord, put connector lor. Unlike A series the power cord is separated...(LIKE) I think most of the Yamaha receiver user here are using V series, I not sure about that... But V series price is very very attractive... The A series price is different alot. A bit high side. That is why V series is more attractive. |

QUOTE(Mickey C @ Jan 21 2013, 09:53 PM) Bro I'm not talking about extend the cord, I am talking about changing the power cord..... Eh... why you want to change the powercord?A series most cheaper one how much it cost?????? Enjoy your new receiver... Entry level A series already cost more than 3k. Headache lah setting the AVR. Till AVR cannot ON anymore. ROM error. |

QUOTE(Mickey C @ Jan 21 2013, 10:24 PM) RXA 810 cost from RM3K???? Wah bro, so hardcore meh. changing good power cord can bring consistent improvements from system to system.. Most of the 搞机友, they all change their power cord. But your V series can't change, so better don't modify anything.. Can't just put a ferrite core? Or a noise filter? |

QUOTE(weikee @ Jan 21 2013, 10:50 PM) I use reversed, that is the default. Standby, I use low. if it detect low frequency it will wake up. Did you put too low on the frequency cut off? I play with the knob from 60, 80, 70... No feeling. The AVR set cut off at 90. Even now playing song, the SW zzzzzzz.... |

QUOTE(kingkong1 @ Jan 22 2013, 10:41 AM) The cut off too low I think. Mine based on ypao 120. But now 200. Must adjust the volume to a level to wake the giant up. If too low he will keep sleeping. If base on ypao, is 80hz. But I change it to 120hz. The SW volume is over half and the hz is 120hz. It still zzzz... Lastly I have to off it. I think this giant is really hard to kick it out from zzz... Or the AVR is too tiny till hardly the giant can feel it. |

QUOTE(weikee @ Jan 22 2013, 05:19 PM) Try if Gangnam music wake up your SW? mine sure wake up with Gangnam. The ummp also make my daugther dance harder. QUOTE(kingkong1 @ Jan 22 2013, 07:43 PM) Found the problem. It is the idiot YPAO. YPAO set the front speaker to large and lower the SW to low hz. Because large speaker can produce lower hz. So YPAO put all the low hz to the front speaker and lower the SW trigger. That's why SW keep zzzz..After set the speaker to small for the front, YPAO high up the low hz for SW. Now the SW easlly wakeup from zzz... Thanks guys. |

QUOTE(weikee @ Jan 23 2013, 08:36 AM) QUOTE(samowong @ Jan 23 2013, 09:36 AM) The same thing happened to me during my initial setup of the V473. Used YPAO - it set the front speakers to large, SW to none. Kept me up all night, squatting near the SW trying to listen to low bass, nothing at all, till i changed the setting to small front speakers. This AVR for pro engineer and genius use. Not for consumer. Check out this link http://sinan.ussakli.net/basstest/ I use the Ultimate Tests to check the 'viability' of my SW Another few upgrade and new model coming up, I think we need specialist to come for setup. I m thinking to change job. |

QUOTE(samowong @ Jan 23 2013, 10:30 AM) I also thought about asking for a specialist to come and check my setup, seeing that this is the 1st time i bought a HT system. It sounded much better than my previous micro HIFI, but how will i know if i am not setting it up correctly. Any idea of the cost for a specialist consult? I m not worrying their consult fee. I m more worrying end up with a rm50k AV after kena poison by them. |

QUOTE(samowong @ Jan 23 2013, 01:08 PM) I don't think i have audiophile ears. But i do detect a big difference in sound quality when i initially checked out a samsung HT-in-a-box, and compared it to my current setup. Thank goodness i did some research and auditioning, and paid more for the current setup. It is worth every penny. I always have audiophile in my mind and HT come 2nd. When shop for HT, I weight more on audiophile side. So I very easily end up with over budget stuff. Mine's PSB Alpha T1 at 8 ohms. How do we grade a speaker large/small? Going to pair with new speaker soon. |
