Try this:
1) OPTION 2) DECODER MODE * Check to see if it is currently set to DTS. 3) Select AUTO |

QUOTE(galantorian7116 @ Dec 20 2010, 09:57 PM) OK, good news. I say! That was the magic button then! I checked the Option on receiver Decode Mode, yes i had set as Auto. Then I proceed to select Scene, once i select BD/DVD, the Receiver immediately shows DTS HD ! Now, all my Receiver can decode DTS HD Master Audio for all my BD collection ! With regard to your question on BDs, yes Amazon is the best but if you're getting only few titles at a time you might wanna go to Garage Sales - Games and check out the list of sellers who sell BDs. Don't think I should mention specific names but check out their thread and if the feedback is good and price is alright, then go for it. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Dec 23 2010, 03:38 PM) I wouldn't advise that...those small satellite speakers...later explode got too much juice from the Yammy AVR. Save ur money until u can buy a complete set. After all, ur HTIB can work now. Spend so much just to 'get rid of optical' cable, IMO, is not very wise... Care to elaborate, bro? |

Try selecting BD/DVD on the SCENE option. It's on your remote as well as on the AVR and see how it goes.

QUOTE(G|O @ Dec 29 2010, 12:04 PM) hi guys, any nice shop to intro in puchong area to go for yamaha 467 avr with good bargain? I'm using the 467 with the NS-P380 package and I can say it's pretty good and sufficient for my AV room, which is about almost 100sq ft. If for a living room, I'm not sure.and which budget speaker set you would recommend to suit 467, so far i check around it seems like nCp380 is the best match to this AVR? thank you. Trust your ears. Go to a place where they have a room with the speakers all set up and you can be the judge of it yourself. |

QUOTE(jeehouhee @ Jan 4 2011, 02:30 PM) Yamaha DSP for what ? i found out when i play Blu-ray the Cinema DSP logo doesn't come out also. If you press the MOVIE or MUSIC button then you'll get to choose the modes. But don't be surprised if DTS appears on the display.Just DTS-HD MSTR Press STRAIGHT again and you're back to status quo. Added on January 4, 2011, 4:03 pm QUOTE(htkaki @ Jan 4 2011, 03:29 PM) Ex-1800 user here. I do not like the DSP effect. Tried that out and preferred Straight mode. The DSP effect is trying to replicate the sound of the selected DSP. IMHO, it ruins the actual effect. AFAIK, many users also prefer to use 'Straight' mode. I'm a STRAIGHT user. My orientation is also STRAIGHT The YPAO is one of the earliest room optimization s/w available. It was indeed impressive at that time. However, the cream of the crop should be Audyssey latest MultEQ XT32 s/w that could do 512x resolution for each channel as well as Sub EQ up to 2 subwoofers for 8 positions. It is quite a leap forward. This post has been edited by dariofoo: Jan 4 2011, 04:03 PM |
