2nd playthrough complete... , on Hard difficulty this time.
 I found that Iorveth's path seems to net more experience compared to Roche's path. Completed all the sidequests in both playthroughs, but managed to end the game at level 37 following Iorveth's path, as compared to level 31 in Roche's. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Steam patch for the Witcher 2 is a nightmare.
Hopefully Valve improved the delivery system by now. |

I'm still on my first playthrough at chapter 2 though I bought the game a month ago.. lol My gaming hours kinda limited due to work. |

 The Witcher 2 patch 1.3 launches with free DLC QUOTE A new free 'downloadable content' quest and heaps of changes have arrived for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in Patch 1.3, which launched today. Along with the bug fixes and balance tweaks you'd expect, Patch 1.3 brings several much-requested features. These include support for 4:3, 5:4, and 16:10 aspect ratios, item storage at inns, a 'junk' panel in the inventory, creating multiple alchemy items, and a tweak to the initial difficulty curve, requiring players to complete the 'Dragon' section last. Check out the full patch notes for dozens more changes. The new quest 'A Sackful of Fluff' is available in Chapter 2 from "the eccentric Elthon," who lives in a hut near the quarry outside Vergen. Developer CD Projekt RED says that it "will prove most rewarding to those who demonstrate patience," which all sounds very zen. RED is currently working on an Xbox 360 edition of The Witcher 2, slated to launch at the end of the year. However, the PC edition's European distributor Namco Bandai is suing the developer for distributing the console version through THQ Partner. I own the game, and just love this game. Now I'm on my 2nd playthrough and am seeing things unfold differently compared to my 1st play. Fantastic job CDPR.  |

Awesome, Valve finally fix Steam's patching.
I am downloading The Witcher 2 patch from Steam. It is only 100mb +. No longer require to download 9gb worth of data. |
