Looks awesome, probably better than Dragon Age. Though I have not played Witcher 1.

I'm reaaaaallly hoping that was a leaked video... Using placeholder VOs without explaining it is most probably going to be viewed as a negative. And if they are the ACTUAL VOs, in which case I hope it comes with the original Polish VOs.
The claims by the fella were a bit dubious and ostentatious though: BEST graphics in an RPG to date MOST DYNAMIC combat system INTERESTING BOSS FIGHTS Doesn't help that the "dynamic world" aspects sounded a bit like Oblivion's Radiant AI presentation... Combat looks about the same with the first game and the boss fight just looks like it has QTEs... whoop de doo I wish he'd expanded more on the consequence system from the first game, that was awesome. i think deus ex 1 had a similar "consequence system" in it. maybe a lite one.
for example, if u stayed to defend your brother, he will be alive. if you fled, he will be dead. if you killed the backup that arrived in first mission, u will come up with a lame excuse to explain their deaths. if you did not kill any NSF from start until a certain point, your brother will praise you. etc etc. these are the ones from the beginning, mid game, late game got any consequences or not i dunno liao. |

QUOTE(Deimos Tel`Arin @ Sep 18 2009, 02:49 PM) i think deus ex 1 had a similar "consequence system" in it. maybe a lite one. Did you play the first Witcher game fully? In it, certain actions that you did in the earlier parts of the game would cause changes in what happens a few chapters later. for example, if u stayed to defend your brother, he will be alive. if you fled, he will be dead. if you killed the backup that arrived in first mission, u will come up with a lame excuse to explain their deaths. if you did not kill any NSF from start until a certain point, your brother will praise you. etc etc. these are the ones from the beginning, mid game, late game got any consequences or not i dunno liao. For example: In the prologue, depending on whether you chose to fight the Beholder or Wizard, you would get different enemies to fight later. If you chose to assist or hinder the "terrorists", you would have different consequences later. Yes, its just a consequence system, but unlike other RPGs, the consequences themselves only manifested many many hours later instead of instantly in most RPGs. H@H@ :
i got tried out a "broken version but size deeply reduced" and got a 20% or was it 10% warning from you last time when i mentioned about it in the forums lol. hmmm must try it again when i got chance lol. got a slightly better graphic card now. Added on September 18, 2009, 3:10 pm ![]() in future, possible to have games with consequences system like above? choices leads to totally different paths and endings. Added on September 18, 2009, 3:11 pmlike, start at green, ends at various reds. multiple choices and different paths throughout the whole game. QUOTE(choyster @ Sep 18 2009, 03:42 PM) Which is good since this year is getting pretty crowded already... If it weren't for Modern Warfare 2, we'd probably have almost a dozen more being released this year. Then again, Q1 next year is looking mighty crowded as well (mmmm Mafia 2) |

Always pays to buy original and now we have a sequel. It is now official. We have another good RPG developer.

The Wither is a interesting game, esp the part where u have to choose side or dont choose at all, however what i see here is just enhance graphic and the boss fight feel a bit like assassin creed or some other game where you get a cut scene if u damage the boss hp to get a cut scene, maybe i saw the boss cut scene method on metal solid gear??? that doesn't goes with the next gens combat systems....
The good part about this game which we all loved are the sex card, uncensored version and the dialog is hilarious, silly horny Geralt and he shoot blank... hahahahaha:D |

They probably want to avoid the DA:O winter release as well, Bioware hype is in full force.

Sorry for the second thread. I searched Witcher and this thread didn't pop up in my search list, strangely enough.
Anyway, I'm loving the improvement so far. Better dialogue system and physics in combat and more varied NPC interactions being the main of them. |
