this is a noob question...

but i have just bought a 1.5TB WD(Green) SATA drive...

do i just plug it right into the side-slot of my dvico 6600 and im good to go?

does it require formatting(like how needed to work on PC? the the dvico does that for me?

If I'm not mistaken, Tan did tell me SATAs need to be formatted, and it can take quite a bit of time too.

yeah need to format... but when u turn on the Dvico the is an option to format... wudn't take long though.. 1-2 mins...

enjoy ur new storage...

btw how much u bought the WD?

Compu-zone RM1290 Dvico 6600A come with 1TB HDD.

Worth buy because I am dropping Lowyat Plaza this coming weekend.

Anyone know they have stock?

Have anyone tested the latest firmware 1.9.3. The performance is quite impressive though and YouTube is now working. http://www.hdpop.cn/6600/tvix_6600_1.9.3.zip

1. an increase of network video pps, Thunder, gougou interface.

2. can increase the directory, and modify the file name, does not support the Chinese language. Web Interactive upgrades, web server interface for browsing and UI changes.

3. SONY KDL-Z55 series of TV can not save settings problem has been resolved

Same promo as before with the 6500a.. indeed good buy with the promo.. u can save around RM170 if buy bundle with the HDD.. biggrin.gif

dunno bout current promo for 6500a...as i dun think they have stock for 6500a now... biggrin.gif IIRC it was the same type of promo for 6500a when 6600 came out... +RM100 then u get 1TB WD G...

Why my player didn't show chinese subtitle properly?

There was a bug with initial firmware.. You may wanna upgrade to the latest FW which may correct the subtitle issue.
