I am contemplating between the 6500 and 6600 now. The only concern I have is the power port which is figure 8 instead of IEC, after market power cables are limited for figure 8 though.

It should look something like this.....

user posted image

The DVD IEC adapter (c7) enables you to use standard aftermarket power cords with your DSS, DVD, or CD player. There are TWO versions of this adapter. One is NON-polarized, and has a "figure 8" shape to it. The other is polarized, with one side of the figure "8" squared-off. All of these adapters have been Deep Cryogenically treated for maximum performance!

This is found at VH Audio and cost US$19.99 before shipping.

Might consider withdrawing the Synology 207+ and Aztech HomePlug from Garage Sale and use it solely for audio streaming within the home network.

1st impression of the TViX M-6600N.... The video resolution is much better than PS3, audio quality is equally better. However, the UI is a bit sluggish which could be due to pre-matured firmware. Hope it ill be corrected via firmware update soon.

My room is much quieter than as the fan noise is extremely low in comparison with PS3. Overall satisfaction is above average for now. Only negative point is the cost of the unit...

Nope for now testing with DViX files. MKV files downloading in progress. Trying get some BD ISO to test out too.

I trust DViCO will overcome the sluggishness in no time...

For those who is considering a DViCO TViX M-6600, I would recommend to save your money and go for model with Wireless N. The bandwidth throughput sucks even in a N environment. I have forgo the wireless setup and relying on the Aztech HomePlug connection instead. It is much more stable. Hope DViCO will have a bandwidth monitor built in to its firmware for users reference.

I am a guinea pig though.

In fact I wanted something of 37" but my watching distance is hardly 6' away as the setup is in my bedroom though. Thanks for the advise anyway.
