Oil might be speculated up on supply fears after one of the oil bosses warn of underinvestment in oil supplies today. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8266200.stmi'd say we've decoupled from the July oil fluctuations that affected local energy stocks. in august, it was.. rise no feel, fall no feel. local market probably has immuned against short term fluctuations in prices. yeah probably strong profit taking activities after the holiday, all the way till maybe Friday. then another new wave. fooooh. go go go KNM! anyone saw the news today? QUOTE ADB raises outlook for Asia, lowers it for Malaysia
BEIJING: The Asian Development Bank raised its growth forecasts for China and India on Tuesday and said the region is leading a global recovery but warned against ending stimulus efforts too quickly.
The bank raised its 2009 growth forecast for China from its 7.2 percent outlook in March to 8 percent, and India from 5 percent to 6 percent. The regionwide forecast was raised from 3.4 percent to 3.9 percent.
"Developing Asia is leading the recovery from the global downturn," the Manila-based bank said in a report on 44 economies stretching from Pakistan to South Korea to Fiji.
The growth forecasts for Hong Kong and Indonesia also were raised, though the outlooks for Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia were lowered. http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...00&sec=businessthe ADB report on M'sia is here. http://www.adb.org/Documents/Books/ADO/2009/update/mal.pdfmight see a brief fall before midday when market opens tomorrow.

QUOTE(coffeelover1975 @ Sep 23 2009, 09:26 PM) it will not be viable if cut-loss on Oilcorp by now. There's still hope of getting out of the rut if one holds it. An example was Antah, which was classified PN17 few years back but was later transformed into this day's Huaan. That time, shareholders were also in a worrisome state. If Oilcorp has some prominent figures inside, it would not simply be delisted. Just an opinion. yeah i think it's fine. i've got one thorn in my portfolio as well.

here's a quote which i find dear. QUOTE The Wall Street Journal noted several traders who still think that September will close on a sour note. But most agreed that, if the market does have a correction, it will probably be shallow and short-lived since there is still a lot of money on the sidelines waiting for the right opportunity.
The Journal article quoted Alan Valdes, head of floor operations for Kabrik Trading in New York, who said, "The mood among traders remains bullish, with many expecting a year-end market rally fueled by hoarded cash. At the end of the day, guys are paid to manage money, not to have it sitting in a bank account earning less than 1%."

QUOTE(Medufsaid @ Sep 25 2009, 12:26 AM) That has been happening EVERYDAY for past 2 weeks Can BN support FBM KLCI if one day Dow crashes? Dow's not gonna crash for the time being. probably a brief correction. unless news comes out that turns everyone into fear-mongering bears, then that time doomcake will be happy.

QUOTE(simplesmile @ Sep 25 2009, 08:02 PM) So... that's only about 375,000 lots for non-bumi? I feel like a 2nd class citizen in this country. It's like... somebody throws food on the road, and all the strays have to fight each other for the food. lol, they'll probably get released into the market as well anyway. how come i get the feeling that people think this stock will double itself in a week or something ludicrous like that. hey even the uncle aunties are talking about maxis then that's probably not a good thing right? a big fish net is cast. time for the fish to swim in.. edit: speaking of bursa's recent run, .. me thinks it's got something to do with maxis' ipo.
